Vehicle Detail

1967 Chevrolet C10 short box fleet side 5.9, 12 valve intercooled Cummins turbo diesel conversion with 5-speed standard transmission. Truck runs awesome, draws a crowd every time it's on the road. When the hood is open, everybody has their camera out. It's the only one we've seen like it. Tubbed, rolled rear end, has airbag suspension in the rear. It sits nice, looks right. The truck is tight, no surprises. Clean Colorado title in hand. Powers steering, working AC (was pulled from the donor Dodge). AC blows cold. No power brakes; the truck stops easily. The gas tank is in the tool box and there isn't a working gas gauge, we just keep an eye on it. The motor temp gauge works and so does the oil pressure gauge. The speedometer and odometer do not work, just never took the time to get them hooked up. There is a pyrometer and boost gauge, they work fine. The only other thing that I know doesn't work is E brake, but it wasn't an issue for me. The seat is out of a 90's Chevy pickup. It works fine but someone with creativity could do something much better. The paint inside and out is very nice but it's not perfect. No major blemishes but if you were two feet away, you could spot a couple of very minor flaws here and there. Again, the pics depict the condition of the paint. Because its diesel, the truck always runs cool. Unlike a big block, it will never get hot. The power steering line has a tiny seep but other than that, it is leak-free. The pictures tell the majority of the story. The donor truck was a surface mine truck from Paonia, Colorado and had about 30K miles on it when it was pulled for this project. The motor has so few miles that when you pull the dip stick, the oil is honey brown. It runs great and its fun to cruise. If you're building one, we aren't going to be able to help answer too many questions. If you have a specific question about this truck, it most likely can be answered.
