Selling my 1979 Honda Civic first generation 1200 hatchback, it is a daily driver that I have been using as a commuter car because of it's great gas mileage. If you like older Honda's or any sort of older classic commuter vehicles, this is the car for you. It's a 4 speed manual with nearly 108,000 miles, still running like a champ. Exterior- Very straight and virtually rust free body that looks fantastic even after all this time.White paint, which is NOT the stock paint. Looks very good still and it was well done. There's a small chip in the paint on the front hood.All the trim is still there and all the little parts/accessories on the exterior of the car are present except the passenger side rear view mirror.All of the lights work, including the license plate lamps in the back!The windows are all there with no cracks in the glass, and the back windows are cool pop-out ones!The tires (which are special order 12 inch tires) look almost brand new and have less than a couple thousand miles on them.All of the doors open and close as they should and the handles are all intact with no issues.The passenger window rolls up and down but the driver window does not because of a problem with the mechanism. I was told it is a small plastic fitting that is the issue with the mechism, should be an easy fix. Interior- The interior has a beige color scheme, with all of the door panels intact and in very nice condition. It is a very clean vehicle interior for it's age.The seats in front are still comfortable and look decent, I put seat covers on them because of tears in the upholstery. The back seat (Which folds down flat, cool!) looks great and is in no need of a seat cover!The black carpeting is original and it looks very clean as well.The speedometer and gas guage both work, and the windshield wipers work and move although one of the linkage arms came loose off its track so one of the wipers doesn't turn, a quick fix.The dash looks awesome with no cracks, only defect is a piece of the little decorative wood part came off with age.The headliner looks like new and is original. Engine-It has the totally stock 1200cc carbureted 4 cylinder engine, which has about 108,000 miles on it. Still starts and works great every time. Choke works like new. Does not leak a single drop of oil.4 speed manual transmission, clutch still feels tight and it shifts through all the gears quite well. Sometimes it may grind a little into gear but it is natural with an older transmission.The drivetrain in this vehicle has a lot of life still left in it!I have replaced the battery and a few small odds and ends on the engine but that's it as far as needed repairs have gone.The brakes feel solid and it handles like a dream.This car gets me about 35MPG and I only have to fill it with 30 dollars of gas for it to be full!
