In addition you are always welcome to come check this quad out and ride/inspect it for yourself before the auction ends to ensure your happiness. Thank you for looking at our auction. ATV: This listing is for a 2009 Honda Recon 250 Utility ATV. The Recon 250 is a legendary ATV and has been the beginning ATV for many riders. It is without a doubt, one of the great utility ATVs of all time. The Recon is a very peppy 4-stroke that is a blast to ride and will literally last you a lifetime with regular maintenance. It is air cooled for simplicity and one of the most durable ATV engines ever made. The 4-stroke 250cc engine is backed up by a 5-speed semi-manual transmission. The semi-manual transmission means that although you do have to shift gears with your foot, there is NO clutch lever to operate with your hands. The chassis' of the Recons are packed full of Honda's legendary equipment, starting with a 22mm carburetor, electric start with recoil backup, CDI ignition with an electronic advance, and a fully sealed rear driveshaft. The driveshaft means no more messing with chains and sprockets to adjust and replace. The front suspension is an independent double-wishbone setup with 5.1 inches of travel and hydraulic brake drums. The rear suspension is a swingarm setup with a single shock boasting 4.9 inches of travel and has a mechanical brake drum. If you are reading this you probably know about Honda's legendary quality. We get to work on every ATV out there and the simple truth is that Honda's are simply a better made product than the competition. Of course it does come with a clear title. Condition: This machine is in good used condition. Honda didn't put any kind of display on the Recon to show miles or hours, so we have to judge by other factors such as tire wear, condition of plastics, and bumps and dents in the chassis. We have looked this machine over and we would say it has about 300 miles on it. The engine is perfect and fires immediately. The chassis and suspension are in excellent shape with nothing damaged, bent, or broken. It revs perfectly and runs great with no misses, noises, leaks, or smoke. The brakes all function perfectly and the suspension is nice and tight with no play in the wheel bearings, tie-rod ends, etc. The wheels are in nice shape and the original tires still have a lot of life left. The plastics are in good shape with some light scratches. Trail scratches should be expected when considering used machines. Other than light scratches, there is one spot on the right rear fender where someone scuffed it with their foot while getting on or off the machine. The front bumper is also scratched a little bit near the forward most point. It just looks like someone gently bumped into something and just left a little rub mark. These blemishes don't affect any form or function of the machine, they are simply cosmetic blemishes. Everything on it functions exactly as it should. Details: Overall this is a very nice ATV that will make someone very happy. As for transaction details, We are MLS Powersports, located in Georgetown, Kentucky (40324). We are right off Interstate 75, 15 miles North of Lexington, KY and 75 miles South of Cincinnati, OH. Our preference is that you pick this machine up with cash in person, but we will also accept a certified check, or bank to bank wire transfer. It MUST be paid for (not necessarily picked up) within 7 days of the auctions close. We are willing to ship it but you must make the arrangements. If you pick this ATV up in person, we are required by law to charge you 6% Kentucky sales tax. We will provide the winner with a KY Certificate of Sales tax paid. When you title this ATV in your home state they WILL credit the 6% back to you and you will only have to pay the difference (if there is any) to your local sales tax.(Except in West Virginia) We do this all the time, do not worry, you will not have to pay sales tax twice. If you have it delivered to you, anywhere outside of Kentucky, you do not have to pay Kentucky sales tax but may still have to pay sales tax in your home state. The only other exception to this sales tax rule is a valid state exemption for farm/agricultural use. We don't need a deposit but if we ship, it must be paid in full first. This machine comes with a clean title that is ready to transfer. It will also come with a bill of sale and proof of being lien free. You are welcome to inspect it as long and well as you like before finalizing the deal, but it is used and sells as-is. Canadian Bidders: We sell many ATV's to Canada because it saves you a lot of money. We know the paperwork requirements and what it takes to get it done. However, it is very expensive to have an ATV shipped from door to door due to customs broker fees. If you pick it up yourself or have it shipped to a border town and do your own border crossing you will save thousands vs buying in Canada. We also have a shipper we can direct you to who has many warehouses along the border where it can be shipped to and stored until you pick it up.
