The Porsche Boxster is truly the Porsche for the people. Not only are they affordable and get great gas mileage but they are a blast to drive. Plus, they are at rock bottom prices. This is a great way to enjoy a Porsche on a budget.
The owner of this Porsche purchased it new from a Porsche dealership in Los Angeles at the end of 1998. She was specifically looking for this color combination. It is a refreshing change from the standard silver with black…subtle, yet different. For the next 14-years, this owner used it as a daily driver. It was always covered when at work. Furthermore, her attention to service was unparalleled. No service was ever over-looked.
Most of the time, the car was serviced at the Beverly Hills Porsche until 2009 when she moved to Orange County. From there she took it to Autowerks. We have every record from new. She was excellent at taking the car in for its normal services on schedule. She never missed a major service. Shortly after the warranty expired, the engine failed due to a defect from the factory. The engine was rebuilt under warranty with the new updates. Finally, within the past 6-months, the tiptronic transmission started having issues so it was replaced. This repair cost nearly $7,000. Other major services included:
Front brakes and rotors: 110,000 miles
Replace oil separator and filler tube and oil service: 109,000 miles
Replace battery: 105,000 miles
Major service: 101,000 miles
Rebuild transmission: 96,000 miles
Reseal cam covers at 81,000 miles
Water pump and belts at 64,000 miles
Engine rebuilt with upgraded IMS bearing at 35,000 miles
All in all, this owner invested nearly $30,000 to make sure her Boxster was a safe and good running car.

For the age and miles, this Boxster is in good condition. The paint is original and shows that the car has never been in an accident. There is a scratch on the front right fender and a couple small dents by the left rear quarter vent opening. There are a few other minor scratches. The Michelin tires are near new. The interior is equally as nice with not tears, cracks, or strange smells. Everything appears to work properly including the original power top. The top is in good shape with not tears or rips. The rear plastic window is showing some discoloration from age. The hinge on the center console is broken.
This is a great convertible that is nimble and fun to drive. It is affordable, great condition, all the major work is done, and it is at the bottom of its depreciation. It is ready to be driven with the top down and enjoyed.
Included with this Boxster are the owner’s manuals, receipts, tool kit, and spare tire with wheel lock.
