Vehicle Detail

1941 Packard Clipper Sedan Vehicle 1941 Packard Clipper Sedan Owner: Atland Contact Brian Location: Central Point, Oregon Email: Click Here Phone: 208-890-0337 Description When it comes to early styling and luxury, there is nothing that quite compares to a Packard automobile. The Clipper was introduced in 1941 as part of Packard's Nineteenth Series of automobiles and utilized the same 282 cubic inch straight eight engine that was used in the Eighteen series models. It's new "fade away" styling cues would carry onto later Twenty series models and/or they became "Clipperzied". Priced at a hefty $1,420, the 1941 Clipper production topped out at only 16,600 units. With a 127" wheelbase and weighing in at 3725 lbs along with its much lower/wider stance, Packard advertising encouraged consumers to "Skipper the Clipper!"... This wonderful example offers a solid and whistle straight two tone body finished in a tasteful Sterling Cream over Black. The upholstery has been restored with original style materials while the dash and window garnish moldings carry nicely restored faux wood grain surfaces. The whisper quiet 282 cubic inch straight eight starts right up and moves nicely down the road with factory equipped manual transmission, over-drive and Electromatic clutch assembly... Other desirable factory and/or aftermarket options include radio, sun visor, fender skirts, bumper guards, front grill guard, fog lights, turn signals, gas door guard, later model hubcaps, chrome exhaust trim and of course, curb feelers... In closing, this is a well preserved specimen that's well presented with an older restoration showing light patina and original character. The only reason its for sale is due to health issues of the current owner/caretaker who comments, "I would drive the Packard anywhere, it has been driven on many Packard tours, get in, drive it and enjoy it". Its your turn to be the "Skipper".... Equipment See Above... Known Facts Free and Clear Private Party Titled in Oregon State. You are welcome to contact us by email or phone (preferred).
