* 1981 Datsun 280ZX 2+2 GL * * NO RESERVE * Before you and up for bid at NO RESERVE is my 1981 Datsun 280ZX 2+2 GL The particulars of the 1981 Datsun 280ZX are as follows: * Our family owned a Datsun Franchise during the '70's and '80's. This was aunt Beverly's car. She no longer drives. * Purchased at the dealership new, I have every original document and the complete service history of the car since day one. This includes the original window sticker, purchase contract and the in house document which references the "house" deal. * The car spent most of its life in Breckenridge and Denver. A one owner garaged, no pets, non-smoker ZX. * The car is still on its 1984 Colorado title. Uncle Bert passed a year earlier, the Datsun was then titled to Beverly, as it had been titled in his name when it was new. * Automatic transmission, shifts smoothly through all forward gears and reverse * 2.8 liter inline 6 cylinder engine, compression in all cylinders is between 146-155. Recent servicing with new belts, hoses, and fresh fluids. There are NO annoying drips or leaks. * Low mileage for the year: only 108,568 (approx. 3500 per year) * GL appointments: power windows, power mirrors, power locks, and cruise control, they all operate properly * Factory AC car, the AC is not blowing cold * T-tops, no leaks, nice sunshades, as well as the original storage bags * Perfect Dash, NO CRACKS * Factory period rear louvers, this has greatly contributed to the rear hatch area carpet remaining unfaded. * All gauges are fully functioning * All safety features are fully operational (lights, wipers, horn, emergency flashers, etc.) * All gaskets are soft and pliable * No cracked glass * I would rate the interior a 7 out of 10, this being because there is wear to the carpet on the drivers side and one section of the driver seat material has a few small holes. A section piece could easily be sewn in. The passenger front seat is good, the rear seat and seat backs are very good, as they were seldom used. * The door panels are in good shape with slight fading, the center console and the glove compartment are in good condition * Factory AM/FM/Cassette player, unsure if it plays as I no longer have any cassettes. Power antenna does work * There is light rust on each rocker and the lower rear quarters as the pictures illustrate. The worst rust is located in the spare tire compartment. This too, could be easily repaired with a mall piece of sheet metal. The battery box support area is not rusted out as is common to these cars. There is also a small surface rust spot on the cowl. * The right side mirror housing is cracked, I have located one and it will be replaced. * Original space saver spare, inflation canister, jack & tire tool * All 4 tires are Kumho's, they are not mix matched and have approx. 50% tread wear remaining, no dry rot cracks. * All original keys, owners manual and operational pamphlets At 33 years of age, the Datsun still runs well and looks decent. It starts every time, idles well, and goes down the road straight. The extended wheel base of the 2+2 gave these cars are more comfortable ride than their 2 seater counterparts. I am realistic on the value of the Datsun, therefore, it is being offered at NO RESERVE. You are bidding to purchase the Datsun, not to be the first to "look at it".
