Honda 1971 CT70K0 Trail 70 Up for auction is a premium condition 1971 CT70K0. This bike has been painstakingly refurbished and has so many new parts you will think you are looking at a new bike. Most parts are either original or OEM Honda. The following description will give you an idea as to all that was done to complete this bike. Please forgive me for using the word “New” so many times but like I said almost everything on this bike is new. I think anyone would agree that this bike looks fantastic but unless you have restored one yourself you can’t really appreciate the amount of labor and money it takes to restore one of these bikes to this level. Engine and Transmission Rebuilt motor and transmission. New 88cc piston and rings. New timing chain, gears, and rollers. New oil seals and gaskets. NEW race head, New heavy duty clutch discs. New shift fork and shift drum pins. New points, plug and condenser. New coil and plug cap. New shift & kick start rubbers. New fuel line. New air cleaner foam. New 20mm carburetor. Polished cam gear & tappet covers. New aftermarket pipe with great sound. The bike starts on the first kick and runs like a dream. Wheels , Tires, and Drive New original style IRC tires, new tubes, new wheel bearings and seals, new brake shoes. Rezinced OEM hardware, new 30 tooth rear sprocket 15 tooth front & new D.I.D. chain. Polished hubs and chrome rims to match. Front Fork Assembly Front Fork Assembly was rebuilt with new fork seals & boots, and the K0 triple clamp was polished. Steering Assembly New CHP control cables. Original K0 handlebars. New throttle assembly. NOS brake levers. New OEM handlebar knobs. New Hi/low dimmer switch, horn button, horn, Bike Body and Frame The frame was pressure washed and glass beaded prior to powder coat paint which is gorgeous. There must be a way to back light the bike or something to allow the pictures to look as good as the bike but I don’t know the secret. Trust me when I say the paint is much, much nicer than the pictures. New head light bucket and light, tail light bracket and tail light. New chrome strip on top of frame. The fenders have also been re-chromed. The seat is a reproduction that is spot on with "Honda" logo and heat pressed seam and very comfy. All of the Honda "8" bolts have been rezinced. The foot-pegs and kickstand have also been painted gloss black. Note the nice luggage rack, side handle and aluminum swing arm. They are nice little extras to match the wheels.
