Exceptionally maintained 1990 944 S2 cab that has been absolutely babied. This cab has been garaged kept its entire life and it shows. No dash cracks, no seat tears/rips, no leaks of any kind, nothing. Absolutely everything works, including cruise control, power top, power mirrors, clock, power seats, etc. Both exterior and interior are in phenomenal shape as seen in the pics. Have other pics as well per request. I have pretty much the full service history on the car in a folder, including the original window sticker of $51,159.00. The color and options codes include: - Color: A1V9, Int. LT - Option codes: o 454 – Automatic Speed Control (Cruise Control) o 490 – Hi-fi Sound (replaced, see description below) o 494 – Amplifier System o 533 – Alarm System o 573 – Air Conditioner (which has been converted already to R134A and is ICE COLD!) o 593 – Antilock Braking System o 946 – Leather/leatherette Seats - Paint code: L041 The car only has 74,594 miles on it and runs perfectly. Idles smoothly, oil pressure perfect (5 at load, 3 at idle). Clutch and timing belt last replaced at 58,XXX miles. Cam chain guides done w/in last 1,500 miles. I just replaced the entire stereo system w/ a custom installed double din pioneer head unit w/ DVD, Bluetooth, and Ipod hookup (in armrest). The stereo mates w/ your iPhone, so you can use your Maps app on the unit for GPS. It has the Pioneer AppRadio which you can google if you don’t know what it is. Basically, you can control a bunch of apps on your phone w/ the radio, including Pandora, GPS, watch movies (from your video library or Netflix if you have that app on your phone), etc. It also has a wired mic in the driver’s visor for taking/receiving phone calls via the stereo. It’s a pretty fantastic upgrade. In addition, all the door speakers were replaced w/ Polk separates (5 ¼” in the doors, and 6 ½” separates in the rears. The rears were custom installed b/c the stock units were 4x6 plate speakers so fitting the 6.5” in the rear took some fabrication. I removed the spare tire and inflator and put a 10” alpine sub in a sealed enclosure in the space. All the speakers are powered by a HUGE Memphis Audio Memphis Belle amp (in the trunk), putting out around 600 really clean watts (75WX4 front/rear, 300W to sub). The sound is phenomenal and absolutely can be heard when cruising top down at highway speeds. In all, I put about $1,200 into the stereo. Other mods include real (not replica) 18” MY02 Carrera II lightweight rims made by BBS. They’re 18X8 front and 18X10 rear. No spacers at all and fit perfectly. In my opinion, the MY02 Carrera lightweights are the absolutely best looking wheel for this car. I get compliments on them all the time. The power top works perfectly and is currently still hooked up. I planned on converting it to manual operation, but it works so flawlessly, I never bothered. The top is in good condition with no rips or tears in the fabric, however, the stitching at the bottom of the plastic window has started to deteriorate and some has pulled out. I’m pretty sure with a helper and a little patience, it could easily be stitched back up since the holes where the stitching was are still intact, it’s just that the thread disintegrated. The window itself is clear and pretty crease free (see pics). Car comes w/ all floor mats (4 total), original black tonneau cover, collapsible spare tire and inflator/tools, full service history, top latch keys, all manuals, 2 key, and some spare maintenance parts I never got around to installing (glovebox hinges, oil filters). As you can see in the pics, this is about as clean a car as you’re going to find from the 1990s and these cars hold their value given the limited numbers imported into the US (only about 1,800 1990 cabriolets were brought to the US). Clean, unmolested, original examples like this are hard to find these days. Reason for sale, bought a BMW E93 (hard top convertible) which has much more rear room for my daughter than the Porsche! Last thing, I do still owe about $6K on the car, so my lein will be satisfied by the sale price, and it may take a few days for the bank to release my title. As you can see by my perfect feedback score, bid with confidence. This is actually the third vehicle I’ve sold on eBay and I will provide contact info (email, cell phone, etc.) to winning bidder so they are completely comfortable with the transaction. Also, car is located in Dumfries, VA (22026), so potential bidders in the area are welcome to come by and see/drive the car in person.
