1954 GMC 5 windowThis is one awesome truck!!!!!!!!! and it is almost done!!!!!!!!The hard work has been completed now it is ready to put together. great winter project. This 1954 GMC pickup is sitting on the original frame that has been sub-framed with a Camaro so it has P/S P/B independent front suspension so it will drive like a dream. The rear frame section has been notched to make room for the Nova rear-end and complimented with a triangulated four bar system and air-ride on all four corners. The air ride system is all heavy duty 1/2" line with controls to activate each corner independently. It has a 5 gallon tank with two Viair air compressors. The body is from down south with no rust. It was been media blasted then, the work on the body mods began. The drip rail, side vents, and some of the bulky molding like the one up the center of the hood was removed to give the truck a clean look. A Bitchen fire wall was welded in and the engine bay was cleaned up. After the body was worked over to remove any dings and dents the truck was painted silver and treated to a clear coat that had been flattened to give it that subtle but awesome look. The engine is a LT1 out of a 71 Camaro. Aluminum intake Edelbrock carb with jet coated headers. The exhaust is Flowmasters with the X-pipe. All backed up by a 700R4 trans. I have a ton of new parts for this truck. I will try to list them all but I did take pics of all the parts so you can study them as well.
