Vehicle Detail
I bought this gorgeous Mustang last year and already have to part with it due to a major downturn in my business. Bu this "candy" resto-mod now in time to have it for the Mustang's 50th anniversary! This 1965 Mustang convertible has all the style and design of a restored first generation Mustang with the reliability and power of a modern 32V 4.6L SVT Cobra V8. The original body has been fully restored and finished in deep black with all the chrome bits triple plated for ultimate shine. Likewise, the Pony interior is completely redone in tan leather, Autometer instrumentation, and a tilt steering column replace the OEM units and the factory A/C unit remains. (The latter was not hooked up by the rebuilder, but I am currently having it done, and it should be complete by 9/18.) To accommodate the modern SVT motor and 5-speed manual transmission, a custom frame, 4-wheel brakes, rack & pinion steering, dual a-arm front suspension and rear torsion bars were installed in the original Mustang body. With the hood closed only the Cobra badging and 17-inch Magnum wheels tip of the watchful onlooker. The security system was disconnected last spring, as for some reason it was draining the battery. The chassis modifications include a custom front end assembly with coil-overs, tubular A arms, heavy duty sway bar, rack and pinion steering, and special disc brakes and a heavy duty 4,11 rear end with oversize disc brakes, special trailing arm suspension with multiple leaf HD rear springs and Gabrial shock absorbers. It is especially well set-up to handle the power from the 4.6 DOHC engine. This restoration/modification process took over 3 years and the almost 1 inch thick set of detailed receipts and records with the car show a cost of $ 134,150 dollars. There is also an elaborate photo album showing various stages of the work. The vehicle is titled in Ohio with Ohio plates. Please let me know if you would like any additional information. I have an appraisal that was done before I purchased the vehicle last year that I would be happy to provide to interested bidders.
