1959 Buick LeSabre 4dr Hardtop the best I can tell, this car was built in Nov 59 and titled as a 1959 model, but whoever walked into Young Buick Inc here in Tucson Az back then was smart enough to order it with the new 300hp Power Pack option that was available first on the 1960 models. I believe these are also 60 taillights too. I believe the drivetrain to be all original with the car too. Check out some of the pics with the OPTIONAL 20" Centerline Rims / tires we are offering with the car for an extra cost. This is a $3500 set of wheels and tires, used but in really nice shape the winner can have for an extra $1500 if they win the car. This is about the baddest 4dr hardtop probably ever built... It just looks pissed all the time and most people dont want to see this in their rear view mirror !! This car has been sitting alot for the last 15 yrs, so to be safe we ran the fuel pump pick up line to a small container of fresh gas.. We then pressed the gas pedal all the way to the floor (yeah, thats where the starter button is ) and after a few cranks, she came to life !! Just changed the oil , nothing else and it runs great. Power Brakes work when you want to stop, but the pedal is a little weak on returning to the UP position. Great color combo : Green on green DRIVETRAIN: original V8 364 4v motor matted to an twin turbine automatic which is working well. The motor sounds and runs well for sitting so long. With a minor tune up and maybe a carb rebuild, its should be ready for anything.Tires are old and no good / gas tank will need prob need some cleaning out during the resto, but PS feels okay. Brakes will prob need a new brake master soon. ACs all there making the restoration easier. Radiator is missing (stolen) the hold down bracket and bolts are inside the car. Water pump isnt turning, so they will need to be replaced or rebuilt too. I can still start, run and drive the car for a few minutes to help load it on a car hauler for shipping purposes making it easier and cheaper for all involved. INTERIOR: is showing its age. Az sun has been really hard on it and it will need a full resto there too. But its very complete and wouldnt take much to restore an interior like this in a weekend. The possibilities are endless !! Because of Buicks lovely rubber floormats, even here in AZthe floors got some rust and are a little soft from the inside out. They could be covered with POR15 and covered with new carpet and no one would know, but for a nicer restoration youll probably want to replace the floor pans and nearby areas. STILL BEATS RESTORING AN EASTCOAST SNOW CAR !! Trunk is totally usable as is, surface rust there but still solid. SUSPENSION: just all original Buick stuff it looks like the rear coils where replaced about 10 yrs ago. Actually feels decent for its age. BODY: very rust free and straight sheetmetal front to back BUT you can see where someone didnt realize how big the rear fins where and bumped them, also there is a dent in the ps rear door, which really looks like it would pop out fairly easy too to be honest.
