Vehicle Detail

Plymouth 1937 suicide door Estate stored for 65 years Make-Plymouth Year- 1937 Vin #P43496110319862 Style Sedan- suicide doors From the famed Wade Williams Collection comes a rare, original 76 year old "survivor" of the 1930's gangster era. A car you only see in black and white movies. This car has been stored inside in several estates for half a century or more. It's original dark blue paint has chipped off where the sunlight from the windows on the side and rear of the garage have baked it away. The car is as original as you will find, and rust free other than surface rust. The doors shut like new, the glass in the windows are in great shape. The floor boards and trunk look solid with the trunk side lining, spare tire and jack are in place. The engine has been tuned up and fires right up and the transmission shifts well. The car drives on decades old tires. The hub caps are original and dent free. I have put on new brakes, wheel cylinders, cleaned out and sealed the gas tank, rebuilt the carburetor, a new battery ( 6 Volt) plugs, points, wires and whatever else was needed to get the car driving. I am not sure the interior is original, but it may be, or it was replaced decades ago. There is some damage to the far left side of the fabric on the driver's side, almost invisible, caused by the garage charging the battery wrongly. The windows roll up easily, like new and most of the rubber has been replaced years back on various parts of the car. The running boars have most of their original rubber. The head liner, seats and interior not torn with the exception of an almost invisible scorched spot on the left side of the drivers seat. This car needs a paint job or if you want to keep most of the paint original the doors and trunk can be repainted and the rest of the car wheeled out. The wood grain on the dash is perfect. The chrome bumpers and grill are excellent with a few minor surface rust area on part of the brite work on the hood. This car is an excellent car, clean it up, paint the doors and trunk and enjoy it as it is. It is a car that has never been messed with, changed or been exposed to the outside elements much, other than driving. If you want an excellent, historic styled, mostly original, rare and traffic stopping early Plymouth at a bargain price, don't ignore this. I have a low reserve. If I don't get it I am sending it off to the body shop and having a first class paint job put on it. This car someday will break the bank. This car is sold as is with no guarantee or warranty given or implied regardless of the description. No return for any reason. The car may be inspected in Kansas City prior to bid closure.
