AUCTION ENDS AT 11:00 P.M. CENTRAL TIME SUNDAY, August 3rd VIDEOS OF THE CAR IN ACTION: Video 1 Video 2 Video 3 Video 4 Video 5 Video 6 Video 7 Since the videos were uploaded to a third-party site, the quality may be unclear, please send me a message with your e-mail address and I will get the high-quality videos over to you. About the car: (I am an individual, this is my personal vehicle) I live in Houston, TX and I purchased this vehicle from a dealer in August of 2011, when it had about 41k miles. The dealer drove this car as a personal vehicle, and provided me with a 3 month warranty on the car upon purchase. In my 2 years and 9,400 miles of driving this car, I have noticed no problems whatsoever, and I believe that the car drives like a charm. I can provide all paperwork, including original buying price, etc, just send me a message with a phone number and a good time to call you. About the title: The title is in my name. This car has a Texas rebuilt title. This means the car was salvaged, and then professionally repaired, upon which after it was certified by the state to be street-worthy, was given a blue title. All equipment is intact and operational on the vehicle, including airbags. Important note: According to the report pulled by the VIN, the airbags were deployed in the past, but I highly doubt the accuracy of this. The interior is in immaculate condition, and the car drives amazingly well, and holds perfect alignment. Everything under the hood looks great. It's highly possible that the original owner did not want to drive a repaired car, and was able to convince the adjuster to "total" the car. Of course, the easiest way to total a car is to write that the airbags were deployed, which seems much easier than writing a list of all the small parts that need to be replaced. I'm not saying this is the case, but it is definitely a possibility. I encourage every bidder to come and inspect the car personally, so they can be assured of the condition of the car. Pros and Cons of Buying a Rebuilt Title: Pros - 1) Save money on the car, slower depreciation, certified street-worthy and safe over a salvage title. 2) The car may not have had much damage. Many times, especially on cars such as this BMW 650i, parts are hard to find, and insurance adjusters can also be lazy, or there may be so many small parts that rather than listing them all, they find it easier to declare the car to be a loss. Vehicle owners are also sometimes happy when the car is declared a loss because then they can buy a new car. 3) Almost every used car >5 years, has been in some type of accident. I have personally bought a clean-title car with a clean CarFax from a large AutoNation dealership in Houston which later proved to have marks of a major accident on the front-end. At least with a rebuilt title, the previous accident on the car entitles you to a generous discount. Cons - The car's wreck has been recorded. Now this doesn't mean that the car was in a major accident, it just means that the insurance adjuster deemed it to be salvaged. Doing a Google search, you will realize that many cars that are "salvaged" barely have any damage. My experience with this car: I love this car very much, and it has been a pleasure to have it as my leisure vehicle for the past two years. I driven it less than 9,400 miles in the 24 months I have owned it, which tells you that I have had it well-taken care of. Regular maintenance has been performed, including Momentum BMW in Houston, and a reputable high-end vehicle workshop in Sugar Land. My daily driver has been a Honda Civic for many years now. Pictures: The car has very glossy and even paint. It looks as if it's a 2010 car. I waxed it 2-3 times, the most recent being a year ago. For taking the pictures, I did a quick wash, and then went at it with my phone. I did not detail the interior simply because I was lazy. As anyone can see, the interior is in great condition, but could use a bottle of armor-all for a showroom appearance. I know spending $50 on an interior detail could bring me another $100 on the car, but I simply don't have the time right now. Financing: Buyer is responsible to obtain details of all this PRIOR TO BIDDING. I will only accept cash or cashier's check. Contrary to popular belief, many banks and credit unions WILL finance a rebuilt title provided that enough down payment is given and the buyer has good credit. Financing available to active, retired and honorably separated officers and enlisted personnel of the U.S. military (or, your parent or spouse is a USAA member). See www.usaa.com for details. Who Should Buy this Car: Only buy this car if you like everything about it, including the rare color combination. I personally dislike the common black 650i, because the body is a glossy black paint and the convertible top is flat black. I love the contrast of this car, and a buyer who likes the exact look of this particular car will pay more than a buyer who is simply "settling" for this car. Full Coverage Insurance Full coverage insurance has been constantly kept on the car from Geico, since date of purchase. To the best of my knowledge, full coverage insurance can transfer to next owner with no additional inspection needed as long as there is no lapse of coverage. Why I am Selling the Car I got married about two weeks ago and need to move out of my parent's home. I will more than likely be moving to apartments and don't want to rent a garage just to park the car. I also need to start saving money for a house. Why I am Selling on eBay 1) I don't have time to sell the traditional way, I only want to meet serious buyers and 2) Being a luxury car, that select people like, eBay gives me a wider audience to reach out to. Plus it will protect both myself and the seller. Why is my eBay user ID "asneakyrocker" I used to play baseball in high school, and this was a nickname given to me by my teammates. It just kind of stuck along after. Availability to speak on the phone, FaceTime, and meet in person: I live in the Sugar Land suburb of Houston. I will be more than happy to meet any weekday around 7:30 PM, and by appointment on weekends. I will be more than glad to speak on the phone, just send me a phone number by eBay message and I will call you ASAP. Test Drives: Buyer from Houston area must prove bank statement or line of credit. This is to prevent joyrides. Keep in mind this type of car rents at exotic car rentals for $499/day. Warranty: I can guarantee that I will reveal everything that I do know, and should know (as the owner) of the car. Unfortunately, because it's a used car, I cannot guarantee how it will continue to work. But I can vouch of the current known condition as of the listing date and the selling date. That being said, I cannot take any liability for the car, and it is being sold "as-is". It is the buyer's responsibility to inspect the vehicle, and it is the buyer's responsibility to inspect the vehicle PRIOR to bidding. Disclaimers: Please look at pictures for details. Wear and tear is minimal, and is especially low for a 2007 vehicle (the car can easily pass for 2010 by the condition of the paint). The car has a small ding on the driver side quarter-panel. The ding is very, very small, and can really only be noticed if the afternoon sun is shining directly on the left side of the car. That is why in the evening pictures taken the same day, it is not noticeable at all. The car also has a small nick, possibly caused by a rock, above the passenger front wheel. This can surely be easily taken care of with $10 touch-up paint from the dealership. Bidding Rules: Buyers with feedback of less than 10, please message me on eBay with your phone number as I will want to speak to you prior to accepting your bid. I have the right to cancel any bids, and to end the auction early for any reason. Deposit: Deposit of $1000 USD is due within 24 hours of auction close, may be reduced to $500 is bidder contacts me prior to auction close. Full payment due within 3 days under all circumstances, otherwise car will be relisted for sale, and eBay will be notified of non-payment. Shipping/Destination: Buyer will be responsible for shipping and/or pickup of the vehicle. All expenses in this relation will be buyer’s responsibility. Once the shipment has been done from the seller, any damage arising hereafter will not be seller’s responsibility. It is advised to check shipping company’s insurance policies to have it covered against any damage. Pictures were taken on July 7th, and inspection was done on July 13th. The car is being listed for sale as of July 28th, it has 50196 miles on it, and by the end of auction date, August 3rd, I can guarantee that the mileage will be between 50196 - 50225. These miles are budgeted for test drives. SPORTS PACKAGE! Car is loaded with every feature possible on the 650i, including: - Steering Wheel Heater - Parked Car Ventilation - Adaptive Headlights - Active Cruise Control & Lane Departure Alert System - Parked Car Ventilation - Voice Activated Commands & Navigation System - Auto-Dimming Mirrors - Headlight Washing System - Top Down using Remote - HK Premium Audio System - If you have any specific question about a feature, just call a BMW dealer with the VIN. I've had nothing but pleasure driving this car and discovering new features everyday. It turns heads all the time, partially due to the rare color combination and strong contrast between the colors of the top, body, and rims. It's a perfect combination of luxury, comfort, performance, handling, appearance, and prestige. Call/Text me at (832) 224-6840 & (832) 263-7317 I am open to taking more pictures, videos, or answering any questions about the car. I am also open to telling the reserve price to anyone, just contact me. On Aug-03-13 at 11:32:39 PDT, seller added the following information: As per the calls and e-mails I'm receiving, it seems many are not familiar with what a REBUILT title is. It's NOT a YELLOW Salvage title, it's a BLUE title. Go to the Texas DPS website (http://txdmv.gov/forms-tac) and look at form VTR-61, which shows how much scruitny the State of Texas puts on rebuilt titles. That was already done, even before I purchased the vehicle two years ago. The vehicle has undergone all types of inspections and certifications to prove that it's just as street worthy as a clean title car.
