This is a 2004 Toyota MR 2 Spyder with a 5-speed manual transmission and has a black leather interior that is in decent condition. The convertible topis in good condiionroximately 94,000 miles and has no rust but does have some areas of paint loss such as on the bumper and where "Spyder" used to be. My husband drove the car back from Alabama with no issues and shortly after he returned, the car started acting up. We replaced the spark plugs which helped a bit, replaced the air filter, did an oil change. I also replaced the ignition coils to try to sort out the problem. I took it to a mechanic and he replaced the fuel pump and fuel filter and now the car is worse than when it went in. I have invested an additional $1,000 over the price that I paid for the car and do not wish to invest any more. The car starts up alright when cold but when it warms up that's when the problems start. It will not stay running and acts like it is not getting fuel. Since the fuel pump and filter were replaced, I don't think it is that. From my research it could be the ecu, ignition wiring, or the MAF. We tested the MAF by disconnecting it and starting the car to see f it acted differently. It acted the same. The car did throw the following codes: P0351, P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303, P0304. I am starting the car at $2,000.00 and the high bidder wins the car. I recommend the car be towed. This may be an easy fix for someone but I cannot put any more time or money into it.
