This 6.0 liter V12 engine is regarded by most Jagaur enthusiasts as the best engine ever placed in the XJS! You'll really fall in love with this 6.0 liter engine! Although the car currently runs and drives fine, the car has reached a point in its life where it will need some investment to continue impressing onlookers for many years to come. The paint on the outside has either oxidized or cracked from substandard previous work and will need to be completely repainted. The interior looks to have held up well but will need some light attention in a few areas I have photographed below. Mechanically, the car will need some attention that is very common for a car of this age and mileage. The car has a few leaks from the bottom as many of these V12s commonly have and will need some new seals around the engine area. The front and rear suspension is worn and will need some parts replaced to tighten it up. The a/c is currently not blowing cold. And finally the transmission takes about 3-4 seconds to shift into drive when you move the shifter to the drive position. Something will need to be adjusted to make it respond quicker. Once in gear the transmission works perfectly it just takes a little longer than normal to transition into drive. This is a very hard to find car and is certainly worth the investment, but it's not one i'm prepared to do myself. Once the car gets the cosmetic and mechanical attention it deserves, the car will be impressing once again for many years to come! The top of the line V12 version offers you everything the six cylinder models had but more of it. A larger V12 engine, enhanced appearance, special wheels, a factory rear spoiler, extra gadgets inside the car, enhanced interior appearance, and more. This car was made to look much nicer than the lower end models, and leave anyone that looked at the car without a doubt in your mind that you got the best version of this car that money could buy. What makes the car even more exclusive is the rareity of this model. Since the debut of the 6-cylinder engine in these cars in 1993, almost all the cars sold in the United States were the 6-cylinder version. In fact, most people believe that there were no V12 verions sold after 1992 as you never see one that's newer than a 1992 with a V12 engine! That's because they are extremely rare! The main reason for the large increase in 6-cylinder model sales was simply the price difference. The 6-cylinder model costing $61,550 when new which several company executives, doctors and other rich people can afford readily. The 12 cylinder model cost $82,550 when new which was $21,000 more than the six cylinder model. Of course the $82,550 was the base price for the model, not including extra fees, taxes, and other charges the dealer could come up with. Every time I have parked this car I have found myself doing one thing over and over again. The headlight lenses appear to have been removed or replaced with plastic. The headlight glass would need to be replaced to give the car its original look. The driver's side as well. The maroon is a real nice color for this car! The car still shows nicely! Even in its current state you can still see how beautiful this car's design is. The tires still have some good tread. Most of the wheels look good but the driver front wheel looks to have hit a curb and bent the wheel a bit. That one will need a repair. The paint up here is getting weak as you can see. The clear coat has finally given way after 20 years. The car will need to be repainted. In addition to the clear coat there are other chips and nicks on the paint that a repaint would fix. New paint would make this car look incredible! The car's top has held up well! The top is in good shape! Notice that spoiler! No rips or tears in the top! The light colored fabric is a little dirty but should clean up nicely! The trunk has held up well! It looks great! Spare tire is still intact! Tool kit as well! The car still has the 6-disc factory CD changer even though the stereo has been changed out. The driver's door looks great! Fully adjustable power seats! The interior still looks great! Driver's seat has only light wear as you can see. Passenger's door also looks great! Power adjustable seats for the passenger as well! Passenger's side looks even nicer! The leather has held up well. It still looks good! Looks like the passenger's seat has rarely had someone in it. It really is nice! The rear seats show virtually no signs of use. Of course you'd expect that with the lack of legroom this car has, but it's a 2+2 nevertheless! The car has a Clarion Auto PC stereo system we can't get to work but the equipment back here appears to be tied to that system. I didn't want to remove it because i've never seen a stereo like that before but it apepars to be easily removable if you wish. The car still looks great as you can see! The passenger's side looks great! The onboard computer works great! The woodgrain still looks good but does have some cracks. These switches work great but don't appear all that nice. I have absolutely no idea what this switch does. The leather cover back here will need to be reaplced. The top has rubbed against it. Both sides. Driver's sunvisor work's great. Passenger's side sunvisor is included but the mount is broken. The cluster works great. The oil sending unit may be bad as the oil pressure reading fluxulates all over the place which is a common issue with these cars. The engine still shows nicely and runs well! This is the real deal! The 6.0 liter v12! It still looks good under there. These Jaguar XJS V12s were very hard to come by! What a great opportunity!
