1947 Chevrolet Wrecker truck in running driving condition. It is in very solid condition with very little rust. The paint is weak but still on most of the cab. This truck has a later model 235 six cylinder engine with a Rodgers rebuild tag on it and it runs very well with no apparent smoke and good oil pressure. It has a 4 speed transmission with sub low that works well. It has been converted to 12 volt system and all lights work. It has a 2 speed vacuum shift rear and the wrecker boom and wench work off of the PTO. The wench picks up by the PTO but lets down manually. The Boom seems to be a early Holmes unit in functioning condition. It does have outriggers. The wood on the bed is bad and does need replacing. The cab and doors are very solid! Much better than most VA trucks of this age. This truck was originally purchased by one of the local Chevy dealers that went out of business many years ago. The tires on the back are worn and the front tires have good tread and they are all holding air well but have some dry rotting. This truck would be a great collectors item! You decide.
