Vehicle Detail

1971 AMC AMX, 360 4bbl High Compression, auto on floor, Go Package equipped with 140 speedo, tach, cowl induction hood and Ram Air. Very rare 1 of 2054 AMX's made in 71'...and this one has all the right options, I have not ran the numbers to see just how rare...Factory stock with the exception on headers, everything else is just as AMC turned it out from the factory..tinted glass, vinyl roof panels, front disc brakes,....still has the inflatable spare and AMC red/white/blue inflator. Previous restored show car, was really in it's prime in the mid 90's, had been stored until recently. Interior is very near mint, carpet, doorpanels, seats, headliner, trim, etc all perfect..could use a detail, but nice. Exterior looks perfect, paint is glossy and deep, no dents or rust, trim perfect, bumpers/grill/rear panel nice, glass nice, etc, but under a very close trained eye you can find some imperfectations. With that said, the areas involed are the rear wheel arches, no rust, but have been replaced (just the wheel arches, 3" above the wheel opening) and over the years a few small paint bubbles have emerged under the paint...I have asked 2 body/paint guys , both agreed they think it could be easily block sanded and lightly blended to make it go away. Also on the front hood, where hood pins had been removed and filled, a few very tiny bubbles (see pics, I doubt it can be seen) Doors are perfect, truck is perfect, underhood inner fenders perfect. Underside has been undercoated when it was restored, all solid with no issues. Does need some work though...pass. side leaf spring was cracked and fixed temporarily with a clamp on spring...figure on a new spring. Engine runs well, sounds strong, but due to old fuel and just being in storage so long, it needs tuned up, is not drivable, although I have drove the car recently, it is not ready for the road...trailer home. Also brake light is on, brakes work well, but seem to hang up lightly. Will start up ,idle, and drive/stop well enough for around the garage. No cracks or repairs to the spoilers, emblems are correct, AM radio correct, underhood correct, etc---No noticeable leaks. Clear WI title. Take a look----THANKS
