Vehicle Detail
This is a wonderful car if you are cool enough to drive it (it's very hipster). This car is clearly ahead of its time. Here is a listing of the features: 35+ MPG, a fuel sipper. "Golf-cart handling", as made popular by the Mini, at a fraction of the cost. Dent-resistant doors. People seem to have forgotten how much fun, and how awesome these are. Plastic bumpers. This makes putting paint on bumpers seem pretty stupid. Special flat matte satin paint finish. I believe the hood is faded from the sun and salt, but it IS a really hot look right now (at a fraction of the cost). Two new tires. Each cost about $30-40, so cheap! (the other 2 are OK). Tune up last year, new belts and plugs! Preventative maintenance only, this reliable car has never let me down. Battery is less than 2 years old. A/C Blows COLD CD player, after-market FM, etc. Passes SMOG with no problem, registration, title, tags all clear and up to date. The bad: The E-brake (works) but the latch/button is missing, so it does not lock. It has been this way for years, no reason to fix. The ceiling started to droop so I ripped it out. Now I really like the look of the steel roof, it's a clean look. There are stains and rips and tears all over the interior of the car (I'm the 2nd owner). I kept seat covers on the seats, which are now faded (and included with the sale). I'm sure with new seat covers it would be a like a brand new car. The paint is faded and scratched in various areas. The glass is good with the exception of one chip, which has been there for years and thus has not cracked or grown at all.***** 7/18/2013 - this is breaking news- I have been driving this car to work everyday for the past 5 years, including the past 5 days of this listing, and TODAY I notice a small clicking sound? Because I have the car posted for sale, I took it to my mechanic who said it may be a valve. He changed the oil and added an additive, which fixed the noise. I have substantially reduced the price because of this development. I am glad this happened before I sold the car so the buyer will not feel ripped-off, in the event there is engine noise down the road.
