This 2005 Tahoe was recently retired from a local PD here in rust-free San Diego. I have purchased several vehicles in the past from this department and always received well maintained units with zero problems. In fact, the last Crown vic I purchased from them had a brand new transmission installed just before it was retired...they wouldn't want to sell a broken car! But I digress. In any case, this Tahoe is no different; mechanically perfect with no shakes, shimmies, rattles, or rolls. Just 98k miles on this one! All the wiring for the police and radio equipment is still intact and in place, NOT CUT. I can remove the wiring if you desire. The 5.3l V8 Flexible Fuel capable engine is strong and smooth. The automatic transmission shifts perfect and firm. The brakes are good as expected from a well maintained emergency service vehicle. The tires are in good condition with at least 60% tread up front, the rears at 85% plus. The exterior has lots of scratches and a few dings expected from everyday police use, and removal of decals on the tailgate. The interior is in good condition other than wear to the right side of the driver seat from the officer's weapon. Also, the rear left plastic panel in the cargo area has a crack in it.
