Model: Honda CT70 Trail 70 Color: Orange Vin # CT70-2316235 Title: Clear title Mileage: 546 This is a very nice nearly all original vintage 1974 Honda CT70 3 speed auto. The bike is in very nice shape. I purchased it a while back as a non running project that had been sitting for many years withhout being run. I went through the entire bike to bring it back to life after the long hibernation. The engine was disassembled and inspected. New rings were installed and the cylinder was honed. The carburetor was rebuilt as well. No other items were necessary to be replaced on the engine. I painted both side covers & the head to freshen the look of the engine. The bike does have a few blemishes as expected for 39 years old. The paint on the main body is all original and in very nice condition with only a few minor blemishes. The chain cover has a few scrapes. The chrome on the fenders, turn signals and tail light bracket are showing some very minor oxidation. Overall the chrome is quite nice for it's age. The exhaust looks very good and has no leaks. The tubes & tires were replaced with brand new correct Bridgestones as the originals were dry rotted/cracked from sitting flat for many years. I also repainted the rims and hubs when the tires were replaced. The battery is brand new. The seat is in excellent shape with no rips or tears. The underside of seat pan is in great shape with no cracks or repairs. The handlebars look great and are very straight. Headlight, tail light, turn signals and brake light are all in working order as well as the horn. The neutral light on the gauge is not working. I assume it needs a new bulb. The shock covers have been newly replaced as the originals were dry rotted. The bike was cleaned polished and detailed and is ready to ride!!!! Overall this is a very nice bike for it's age. It is not 100% perfect nor a museum specimen..... but an overall excellent example of a 39 year old survivor bike. The odometer shows 546 miles and is in proper working order. I assume this mileage to be original but have no way to confirm it as actual since I am not the original owner. If you have been looking for a mostly original bike you will be very pleased with the one. It starts first kick, has great power and runs well after a brief warm up. The transmission shifts smoothly and the brakes are in perfect working order. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs.
