Vehicle Detail
1966 FORD MUSTANG COUPE This car was equipped as many of the original mustangs were. Basic 200 c.i. straight six cylinder with 3 speed standard shift with a radio and a heater. For many years I had a mustang car and parts business in El Paso, Texas. In 2005 I moved to Guymon, Oklahoma and this is one of the cars I moved with me. It has been sitting, for the most part, since that time. The last time I drove the car the clutch released very high in the clutch pedal travel which may only require a clutch release adjustment. The car was started a couple of months ago and the engine smokes but sounds good. That happens to these old cars when you don't drive them. I purchased this car off eBay around 2003 or 2004 from a southern California man who was the son in law of the owner. The son in law told me that his father in law bought it new. Right, or Wrong? I don't know for certain. The body is straight and the interior is driver quality. The paint looks good at 15 feet and the areas that need attention are the caulk at the drip rails, and there is a quarter size paint bubble on the roof side on the passenger side behind the side rear window. The exterior doorhandles and the taillight trim are beginning to pit, but are serviceable. The interior is two tone blue and the upholstery is not bad except for some loose stitching at the top of the driver bucket seat - the dash pad needs replacing and the carpet is faded. THE ODOMETER SHOWS ABOUT 48000 MILES - MY GUESS IS THAT IT HAS TURNED OVER This car is in nice condition for an unrestored car but will need work to make it a daily driver. I will require a $500 deposit within 3 days of your successful bid. The balance is payable within 7 days unless you wish to pick it up before that. The car must be paid in full before it will be released. If you purchase the car after looking at it prior to purchase there will be no refund. If you have not seen the car but arrive to pick it up and don't want it I will refund all your money. If you send someone else to pick up the car and once it is delivered to you and you don't think I described the car properly I will refund your payment less the $500 deposit if you return it to me at your expense in the condition it was in when it was picked up. After being the successful bidder, I will not negotiate the price because you find something you don't like about the car, but I will take it back using the above guidelines. I have bought and sold quite a number of cars on eBay motors, and have been stuck on a couple of purchases. I understand no-one wishes to be taken advantage of. I believe my reserve price is less than the market value on this car, as is the Buy-It Now feature. I hope someone likes the car well enough to purchase it. I am 70 years old and have bad knees and can no longer work on these cars that I have respect for and I currently own 10 cars and I can only drive one, so I am going to get rid of some of them. I also have a 63 Studebaker GT Hawk and a 2004 Thunderbird that I bought new that will be listed for sale on eBay in the near future. Thanks for looking. Sure hope you want to buy it. My cell phone is 580-206-0706 and my email is guymon25@ptsi. net. I will not negotiate outside of eBay. If it sells, eBay will receive their reasonable fee.
