Vehicle Detail

Offered is an original unrestored 1926 Buick Master 6 Model 45 4 door sedan. This car was last registered 39 years ago in 1974. It has been stored inside a garage and out of the elements for at least 40 years. I can find no evidence of wood rot or rust rot anywhere on this car. Some of the wooden top slats are broken from storing objects on the roof over the years. The fenders have a few bumps and scrapes, but nothing serious. The body and hood are straight and rust free. The previous owner stared restoration of this car over 30 years ago and never got too far. The engine, transmission and clutch were removed and completely restored by Egge Machine in Los Angeles. The engine was totally rebuilt It was bored .30 over and has new pistons, rings, valves, springs rod and main babbit bearings, gaskets and was properly assembled. The transmission was rebuilt and new gears and bearings were installed as needed. The multiple disc clutch was completely restored to new condition and the flywheel was resurfaced. The engine clutch housing and transmission were painted and assembled together and are ready to reinstall. The previous owner removed the driver’s door and started disassembling the interior and then stopped…never to return to the project. It was covered in the garage and left to sit for almost 40 years when I found it. My original plans were to just put this grand old Buick back together and drive it as an unrestored car. Unfortunately, a growing family requires more time and money, so after owning it for less than a year, I regrettably must sell it. There are many boxes of parts to reassemble this car, I cannot guarantee that absolutely every nut & bolt are still present to reassemble it. The only part that I am sure it is missing is the vacuum wiper motor. All the original glass is present. The original seat upholstery and headliner is present, but well worn out. The original dark blue paint on the body is bleeding through a well worn black paint job that is on it now. We have the accessory front & rear bumpers, but the front bumper is broken and will require repair. It rolls easy and all the tires hold air, but they are old and worn. The wood wheels are rock solid. I believe we have all the handles and latches. This is a very big heavy car and will be quite impressive when it is back on the road. I am not a Buick specialist, but I will try to answer all questions. I am willing to cooperate with out of state buyers, but I do not have the ability to deliver it. It is sold “as is, where is”. You are welcome to come and look it all over prior to bidding….or if you want a close-up photo of any part of this car, please ask. I have a clear California title to this car. Please contact Jos at 714 614-3396. Happy Bidding
