Hi - this auction is for a new looking 1987 Honda VFR 750 with a mechanical warranty and a clean Florida title and only 23,000 miles. These bikes were only made for two years, and this was the first year for this model. Most people mistake it for a new bike because it's so clean and in such great condition. At age 64, I have decided to reluctantly sell two of my collection of fine motorcycles (the other listed on EBay is an excellent 1986 Honda VFR 750). This bike has always been garaged, and is a very glossy blue in color, with the original rear solid rear wheel, the original front spoke wheel and nearly-new raised white letter Dunlop tires, and is all original. There are no rips in the seat (only front seat shown on the bike because I like the look, but I have the excellent rear section as well), no dents or rust on the original exhaust pipes (they're beautiful !!), no chips or scratches in the original glossy paint, , polished forks and engine cases (no stone chips) and no cracks, scratches, or tabs missing in the plastic panels. The handlebars were changed by the previous owner to be a bit wider and more aggressive-looking, but I have the original bars, which will be sold with the bike. The bike comes with a midsize National Cycle "Hellfire" universal windscreen. There is a "hidden" cosmetic imperfection, namely a small amount of battery splash from the previous owner on the right underside of the lower pipe, but you almost have to crawl under the bike to see it. Mechanically, the bike is perfect. The carbs have been cleaned and synched, and the bike has been tuned to perfection by my mechanic of 25 years. As I said, people mistake this 28 year old bike for new because it looks that good and runs perfectly. There are no leaks, the oil I've used in all my cars and bikes has always been Amsoil full synthetic and it was recently changed, as was the coolant (Blue Ice) and the final drive oil (Amsoil also). It's turn key and ready for 100K + miles, which is the reputation that these bikes have for longevity and reliability. This bike is virtually show quality and comes with a.mechanical warranty (how often do you see that on EBay?), as do all my EBay cars and bikes that I sell: namely, if any engine or transmission parts fail in the first 30 days or 500 miles, whichever comes first, I will pay for 50% of the repairs at a Honda dealer. The exception will be if this fine bike is abused by the new owner; I don't abuse it and I would hope that the new owner would not do so either. I stand behind all my vehicles that I own and sell, so please check my 100% EBay rating in selling many cars and motorcycles, and bid with the utmost confidence.
