Vehicle Detail

I've owned this car for 15 years. Had always hoped to make it perfect one day it but it doesn't look like that'll ever happen and I'm sadly giving up... it's time to pass it on to a new owner. Car needs restoration exterior and interior, it's far from a show car. The engine starts right up though with no smoke or knocks. The car originally had a 390hp 427 engine but it currently has a good sounding 396 under the hood (believe it's a 68-69 year 396). The car was a driver when I last parked it a couple years ago. Think it could be made a nice driver again without much work, going back to original would take more work. The car as small flares and Eckler's lights. Sitting for so long has apparently got air in the brakes as the peddle is very soft. I use the e-brake to drive it around the yard... and I plan try and bleed the brakes... but I would go ahead and expect to have it trailered home. A hard top is on the car now, the white soft top is still there as well. From what I can see by jacking the car up the frame looks in good shape and rust free. It is a 4-speed. No trades, sorry. Thanks for looking. Please let me know if you have any questions. Good luck!On Jun-19-13 at 07:27:00 PDT, seller added the following information: Edit/Update: I have a complete 427 in the garage casting # 3985439. It ran great when I pulled it. It came out of a later model Camaro I used to own (not the stock motor of course). It's been a while but from what I recall the date code is '68. From what I read... and I could be wrong... that makes it correct for this car. I can't make out the vin stamp (partially decked) but I'd guess it's more likely from a truck than a Vette. Anyway, I'd sell it for $2k intake to oil pan. It wouldn't be the original engine... but it'd be close.
