Up for sale is a 1976 Suzuki GT550 that I originally purchased to restore. I knew the bike had no title but was told the motor was free .. not true. It is fully stuck and beyond my restoration abilities. So it has now become an excellent parts bike or a project bike for a two stroke mechanic. It is 99% complete and appears largely unmolested. Both front and rear brakes are free and still operate, the clutch disengages and it will shift thru the gears. The side covers are excellent save a few paint scratches and the tank is clean inside and except for 2 easy to fix dents, in very good shape. Wheels appear straight and chrome is 90% . Rear fender is good front one has some dimples near the front edge.. think a body man or chromer could get them out. Guages are not good but there is an ignition switch w/ key that turns easily. Carbs are complete and not frozen. Best part is the exhaust…Complete with no holes or even close to major rust, no dents that are noticeable… just a few acid marks on left side. Seat cover is shot but its an excellent candidate for a recover, pan pretty rust free and foam still good – even chrome trim piece is excellent. Even the tires are solid with decent tread and no dry rot. Handle bars are straight and both switch pods seem to work as they should. No reserve and again, NO TITLE. Vin no. is GT550-65281 odometer shows 4800 mi, no way to confirm. Bike is sold “as is” with no guarantee and no return.
