For Sale 1979 BMW R65. This little BMW Airhead, nicknamed Olaf has been lovingly owned. It's for sale due to lack of use. This bike deserves to be ridden.Excellent condition, non-restored bike with only 10,500 miles. This bike could easily become a collector's item. Paint is original (except side panels) and is in very good shape given the bike's age. The paint does have some scratches and pinstriping is a bit worn in some places. It is fully stock and includes the original tool kit and owners manual. Only the air pump is missing. Service manual included with purchase.Most major seals have been replaced over last several years, including: Oil pan, all cylinder seals, push rod tube seals, rear main seal, all transmission seals and fork seals. The bike was fully tuned up in the spring of 2011. Have many but not all service records.Tires are decent but rear tire doesn't match front. Needs little to make it perfect, nicest R65 you'll find. Rear springs have surface rust and right exhaust has been welded to fix rust.Looking for a good and loving home. Please email me with any questions. This item is being sold "AS IS".
