Vehicle Detail

1965 Honda CA77 300 Dream. The bike was redone last summer. I have since ridden it over 1,500 trouble free miles. This bike runs great and I have a clean and clear title for this machine. This is not a perfect bike, but a really nice rider. Here is what has been done to the bike: Engine 23,500 miles - Engine was disassembled, lower case split, checked over and all oil seals and gaskets replaced - Block was sandblasted prior to being painted: high temp primer, high temp gloss black then high temp clear-coated - Engine Side Covers painted with textured flat black - New points, condensor spark plugs and bike was statically timed - Brand new clutch disks installed this summer 2013 with only 50 miles on them - Where possible, case screws were replaced with new nickel allen-head screws - Cam chain and tensioner checked and are in perfect working order - Carburetor was cleaned, rebuilt and float high adjusted correctly - Brand new cables: clutch, front brake and throttle. Original speedo cable is in great condition. - Brand new cable adjusters - Brand new off brand 8mm metal stemmed mirrors - New chrome fishtail mufflers (no baffles, not too loud, gives a nice snarl) - Electric and kick start are both functional- New battery last summer- Headers sanded and painted with super high temp ceramic header paint- Non original EMGO pod air filter Body/Frame/Tank - Tins were painted with PPG "Light Blue Metallic" Urethane basecoat/clearcoat (Actually a 2000's GM Saturn color). This is a beautiful amateur paint job. - Clear coat was wet-sanded up to 1500 and buffed with an orbital buffer using 3M polishes - High-build primer was used underneath to help smooth any small imperfections - White leather solo seat with 3'' springs was installed onto the factory bracket (ABSOLUTELY NO HOLES WERE DRILLED TO RELOCATE THIS BRACKET!!) - New chrome gas cap installed - New chrome 3/8 npt threaded Harley Davidson petcock installed onto aluminum mounting bung (NO HOLES WERE DRILLED TO INSTALL THIS SETUP). It simply uses the original mounting holes to mount the bung to the tank. - New metal tank badges installed - New 25w hallogen headlight installed into the original case - Neutral indicator light bulb functional- New old school style chrome horn- Original grips have no tears Wheels/Tires - New Kenda K761 Tires installed (I have a 1968 model with the firestone white-walls, and this bike handles MUCH better with these tires, and feels more stable) - New inner-tubes used - New rubber rim straps installed - New 96 Link roller chain installed and lubed with chain wax Other details about the bike: - The chrome on the bike is not in perfect show condition, this bike is a rider. There is some pitting, scratches, etc. on some chrome pieces. The rear shock nuts should be re-chromed or replaced. The fishtails are brand new however and shine great and the chrome gas tank covers are in nice condition for the age. - This bike rides and runs excellent, cruises nicely at 50-55 mph. It is a real head-turner everywhere I go, I always get stopped to answer questions about it. - After a decent ride (50 miles or so) when I come home the right side will drip a few drops of oil on my garage floor. All of the case oil seals have been replaced but it will dribble some after a long ride. It is never bad enough to have to add oil to the crankcase. - The Harley petcock (3/8 npt thread) will probably need replaced soon. When you turn the petcock to the off position, it will continue to very slowly drip. I can tell because there is a large clear fuel filter and if I leave the bike sit for a few days, I can see that the filter fills up with gas. - Bikes comes with two mirrors installed and 2 original Honda keys. - The tail light works, but it does not get brighter when you press the brake pedal. I think the brake light switch may be bad/need adjusted.**I will not crate, pallet or ship this bike. The buyer is responsible for picking up/arranging shipping for the bike. I sell to lower 48 ONLY.
