Vehicle Detail

This motorcycle comes from the great 60s Honda lineage of the infamous CB77 Superhawk and the CB450 Black Bomber. These motorcycles were fast for their time and were truly revolutionary. Robert Persig took the CB77 (my bikes bigger brother) on a cross country trip with his son on the back that became the basis for his classic, "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance." The CB160 is in extremely good condition for an almost 50 year old motorcycle. It starts right up with the electric or kick start. Cold weather takes a couple more kicks than warmer weather, but it is expected in any vintage motorcycle. It handles like a dream and can even ride two people. My fiancé and I took it out every weekend last summer. Even with the 2 of us on it I could go over 50mph, and just myself a little over 70mph (I'm around 200lbs, so speed will depend on the rider). Has new tires and a new battery that I bought last summer. Battery does not need you to mix the chemicals, is completely closed. The bike is full of character. The CB160 comes with a Clymer's Manual. Not that you are going to need it, but the parts for this bike are very cheap on eBay. If you like the look of the larger CB77 or CB450 but don't want to spend an arm and a leg on the bike and parts then this is the bike for you. The CB160 only has 6500 + original miles on it (I plan on riding it until the bike is sold, right now it's at 6515 to be exact.) Pretty much everything on the bike is original, the seat is in impeccable shape for it's age, and the gas tank is the cleaner than some of the later Hondas I've owned. I couldn't believe how good of shape it was in. There are only a few things this bike needs to be a show bike. The front fender has a small dent and could be repainted. The exhaust isn't original, but is period correct. The original owners put this exhaust on to give it deeper tones. I would say eventually a full paint job wouldn't be a bad idea, but not something that is really needed at this time. The neutral light is burned out, but I have a replacement somewhere. Just needs installed (and I have to find it, I just moved!) The motorcycle comes with a clear Ohio title. As for shipping, that falls solely on the buyer. I will be accommodating to your shipper, but I'm not boxing it or doing anything extra to get the bike shipped. This is a great bike for a collector or someone who wants head's to turn while they ride. If you are looking to café a bike (see LaLossa's Poco Bastardo for example) this bike will give you truly an amazing start. It's truly a unique vehicle and I will miss it dearly, but life happens, and money is more a necessity for me than owning a motorcycle. On May-06-13 at 07:48:27 PDT, seller added the following information: *** Forgot to mention this earlier *** I have the original tools for the motorcycle as well. If interested in seeing a picture of them, I can e-mail you one.
