Vehicle Detail

I'm selling my 1962 IH scout 80. I've had this scout for the last 10 years and have done a lot of work to it but now I'm getting ready to move and can't really bring it with me. It has a clean and clear Kansas title. It has the 152ci 4cyl, T-90 3 speed transmission, twin-stick transfer case, and dana 27 axles with 4.27 gears. It is a former military vehicle and still has the data plate in the center of the dash. The body was pulled from the frame and the frame, transmission, transfer case and axles were all stripped of all rust, grease and paint and then painted with epoxy primer and a two stage black/clear. It received a SOA conversion with lift shackles, steering stabilizer, Skyjacker shocks in the rear and Monroe shocks up front. All the brake lines and fuel lines were replaced with new ones. The clutch slave cylinder was replaced and the brake cylinder was replaced. The transmission, transfer case, and axles were drained and new gear oil was put in.The engine was sent to a machine shop and the head and block were surfaced and the engine reassembled and painted in red and grey. It has a new aftermarket header and newer exhaust. All brake parts in the front axle were replaced with new parts. New starter and Optima Yellow top battery The body was put back on the frame using new body mounts and hardware. Then the driver's side quarter panel, driver's side door pillar, and left and right endcaps were replaced. The other body panels were repaired. The hood and interior received coats of bedliner. The body was sprayed and wet sanded 3 different times with primer surfacer. Then it was painted with a sealer and two stage black/clear all using Nason paint products. Most of the hardware was replaced with stainless steel. The "Scout" and "All Wheel Drive" emblems were replaced with new ones. The windshield was custom cut and a new seal was used to install it into the frame. The seat frames were repainted but the cushions themselves are the original ones. The wiring harness was replaced and LED taillights were installed. I still have the original style ones if you want them; just have to let me know. It now has an alternator instead of the generator that came from a '79 scout II. It has the original grille guard and windshield wiper fluid bag which I have been told are rarer items on these old scouts. I'm not sure how true that is but figured it was worth mentioning if you feel like researching it. It has new clear turn signal indicators on the front and new headlights. I have some other parts that go with the scout. I have both doors which have also been bedlined. The e-brake is not installed but I have all the parts to put it in; just never got it painted to match everything else. It needs the tailgate hooks. I have one of the latches installed right now to help hold the tailgate up. The other is still in my pile of parts needing paint. The ashtray cover also needs paint and isn't currently installed. I have two full cab roofs for it, both still need restored. The fuel/air ratio needs to be adjusted so that it will run smoother. If it sits for a while you have to either put gas down the carb. or give it some starting fluid to start up. The steering isn't as tight as I would like, probably just personal preference. There is a bar welded on the tie-rod to help strengthen it and help tighten the steering as a temporary fix. My intentions were to build a new tie-rod using DOM tubing and heim joints, just never got around to it. The draglink was custom made by Anythingscout.com I do expect full payment before it leaves my possession. I hate to see it go, but it's time for it to find a new home. I can assist with loading if you need me to. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. If I think of anything I have forgotten I will add it to the listing later. I reserve the right to end the listing early if it sells locally. If the reserve has been met I will just wait for the auction to end and not stop it early. Thanks for looking.
