here it is. a 68 AMX with a factory 390, 4 speed, ps, power disc brakes, 12 bolt posi rear. the original motor has been rebuilt. it has a new carb, alt, water pump, belts and hoses. the clutch is good. the exhaust is good (half new). it has a new windshield, some new brake lines, new fuel lines and a new gas tank with sending unit. the wheels have been reconditioned and the tires are excellent. Very solid car. the previous owner striped the car to bare metal and repaired minor rust fore and aft of the rear wheel wells with new metal. He indicated the car had a few bumps and bruises but nothing else major. the trunk floor is excellent, there is 1 minor hole in the pass side frt floor which can be easily repaired. rear floors are excellent. it runs good, but the brakes are week. i would recommend rebuilding the frt calipers. nice dash pad and door panels. missing one armrest, needs carpet, seat covers and headliner. missing a few pieces of ext trim, but all is available reproduction. The car ws originally dark green with white strips and a black interior. Great project but i have to let her go. you can reach me at 540-974-2110. On Apr-30-13 at 05:40:41 PDT, seller added the following information: I would like to try to clear a couple of things up. The yellow on the car is not finished paint. It is an epoxy primer that was put on to protect it once it was stripped to bare metal. The car needs to be finshied and painted. The brakes work well enough to move it around the driverway or drive it onto a trailer. They do not work well enough to drive at highway speeds. You will need to trailer the car home. The engine does have "390" cast into it. The casting number appears to be 3190806. The head casting number is 3138558. The door tag infomration is as follows: body - R020487, model - 6839-7, trim - 831A, paint - 47A, east/west line - E086270. It is a great project with most of th dirty and difficult work being already done.
