Vehicle Detail
1937 International pickup cab on '37 Ford Frame. Cab has been chopped 3" and channeled 4" over boxed Ford frame with tube x-member and removeable trans mount. 1963 Studebaker 259 V8 with Edmunds dual two intake and Holley 94's. The motor has an Avanti R1 cam and steel timing gears. Runs great, does not use or leak oil, idles well & gets 20 MPG. There is a picture of the gauges while the engine is idling after a 20 minute drive. Studebaker 3 speed manual tranny with overdrive (overdrive is not hooked up). Mopar 8 3/4 rearend with 3.23 gears hung by triangulated ladder bars and '40 Ford spring on '34 crossmember and Gabriel gas shocks. 11" rear brakes. Frontend is a dropped '40 Ford axle with spring hung in front on a flattened crossmember and split wishbones. Rebuilt original '40 Ford shocks. Front brakes are also '40 ford with new wheel cylinders, hoses and relined shoes. 45 fin Buick brake drums and aluminum brake scoops. E-brake works with original handle. Front wheels are original Ford 16" w/Firestone 5.00X16 and real E/T 15" w/Coker L78-15 in the back. Exhaust runs to the back w/12" glasspacks and working dump tubes. There is a 50's Mopar brass radiator that has been boiled out in the '36 Ford truck grille shell. The interior has reupholstered seats, 3" lap belts, Stewart Warner oils, temp and volt gauges in an Eelco panel. Moon tach. (no speedo). Red metal flake steering wheel and '37 Ford st.box. The long shifter handle is adapted to Hurst linkage and uses a hydraulic clutch w/63 Chev pickup pedals. Working spotlight. Lights, electric fuel pump and starter are controlled by a B29 bomber signal light box. Dual fuel tanks- one is a WW2 plane deicing tank and the other is an old kerosene can plumbed thru a dual tank valve. All lights, turn signals and horn work. Windshield had new glass installed and cranks out, cowl vent works. There are no door windows but I have NOS regulators and guides that go with the truck. All new plumbing and wiring with a fuse box when the truck was built. This little truck needs nothing. I built it to drive and be safe. Drives good and runs down the road at 60 mph + all day long. It has made multiple hundred plus mile trips trips all over the Northwest. We have put about 7000 miles on it and had no issues. It has a clear Oregon title as an assembled 1937 pickup. My goal when I built it 7 years ago was to not use anything newer than 1963. The chop could use some finishing and the tranny drips a little 90 wt but not enough to pull it apart. If you want something to get in and drive that's different, this is it. Sold as is where is. Will sell Internationally w/bank transfer payment. Buyer arranges shipping and is responsible for all fees and paperwork. I will provide a clear title in my name and bill of sale. Thank you.
