Vehicle Detail
Offered is this unrestored matching numbers Bonneville from 1968. Previous owner purchased in 1976, rode until 1979, then put it up with fresh oil and drained tank and carbs and stored it with his brother's car collection in a climate controlled facility. I purchased this bike over the winter, cleaned it and made, (or had made) necessary repairs. These included fork seals and gaiters, fuel petcocks, fork stem bearings and major tune up and full service. The latter was performed by Randy at British American Bikes in Doraville, GA. It starts right off, pulls smoothly and strongly, idles well and stops OK. Cosmetically, the Triumph still sports it original paint. The original stickers have long peeled off. The tires are from the late seventies. The rims and spokes are perfect and unaltered and the mufflers are unmarred, no pitting, scratches or rust. The original cross stay between the mufflers is present, the original horn works and is loud, dipswitch good, battery is new, still has original fuse holder, paper separator for headlight wires intact, replacement battery strap included in sale. Some paint fade on top of tank. The bike looks about 2-3 years old and is very, very clean. Included in sale is virtually untouched factory shop manual, 1969 original Triumph product line brochure, all keys including fork lock key, and a vintageTriumph belt buckle Bike is sold on bill of sale, copy of BOS to me provided as well so titling in other states requiring such won't be an issue. Ga doesn't require title on vehicles of this vintage. Reserve will not be disclosed, other than to say, it is significantly below recent appraisal to assure the bike sells. I ask a $500 paypal deposit immediately from winning bidder, balance due within three business days in cash, certified funds.
