Vehicle Detail
This 1947 Ford Truck is licensed and titled in Idaho. This Rat Rod has over $2,500 in chrome and polished aluminum parts and over $2,000 in wheels/tires and new electrical so please keep that in mind when shopping around. I bought this as a partially completed project and put a lot of time and money into it since then. I wanted a truck that was half rat rod and half hot rod. So, it's not slammed to the ground with air bags and it's not a bunch of old rusty parts, but it's not a super fast and shiny hot rod either. It's kind of in between both worlds. It's a finished product rat rod as far as I'm concerned and I drive it around as such. But I suppose it could be finished up as a nice hot rod. It gets TONS of looks everywhere I go. Every time I stop for gas people come over and look at it, take pictures of it and ask me about it. If you want a ride that brings lots of attention and drooling, this is for you! The engine is nice and shiny with lots of chrome and aluminum parts like a hot rod should have but the body and interior are all old, rusty and original like a rat rod should be. It's the perfect balance in my opinion. It has an Idaho title as a 1947 Ford pickup. It has a 1982 Ford 302 motor, transmission and rear clip (rear axle, rear suspension & driveline) out of a crown vic. It's been channeled, chopped, lowered, and the bed was shortened. New parts include: Chrome starter, Chrome alternator, all billet aluminum pulleys, flex fan, polished aluminum oil pan, polished aluminum valve covers, chrome oil filter, aluminum edelbrock torquer intake, edelbrock 4bbl carburetor, oooga horn, exhaust system, interior gages, steering wheel, brake pedal, brake master cylinder, brake lines, front brake slave cylinders, dual diaphragm brake booster, turn signal assembly, Hurst shifter, tail lights, front shocks, mirrors, Billet aluminum HEI distributor, spark plugs and wires. ALL of the switches, dash lights, wiring and everything electrical is all new throughout the entire vehicle, there are absolutely no old wires used anywhere. It has nice wide polished genuine centerline wheels. (I'm sure I'm missing a few things too). I have a chopped hood for it but I haven't come up with a way to secure it yet (it’s pictured just resting on the truck) or you can dive it without it like I do. I get people giving me a "thumbs up" or yelling "sweet ride" constantly. You'll be the talk of the neighborhood with this rat rod! I tried to make it as street legal and safe as possible. It has seat belts. It has all new brakes lines, new brake master cylinder, dual diaphragm booster and front slave cylinders. All the lights and signals work flawlessly. Mirrors are convex for better visibility. The headlights are new and bright. All the gauges work and light up. It has a one of a kind custom speedometer that lights up behind the original dash panel where the odometer was. And, other little safety things you don't usually find on rat rods such as: it won't start unless it's in park, a functioning emergency brake and hazard light flashers.I have this listed locally so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time if it sells locally before the end of the auction Buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements and costs.
