Vehicle Detail

Presented by Torfab (www.torfab.com) - this 1986 Land Cruiser has been completely rebuilt. Everything mechanical has either been rebuilt or restored to manufacturer specs or better. It has received a lot of care and attention to be a reliable daily driver for many years to come with tasteful and functional upgrades to improve performance. Our customer commissioned this Land Cruiser last year to be a multi purpose vehicle to tow his jet sled and drive between his Portland and Seattle residence. It's now being sold because he's ready for his next project, something with a little better fuel mileage ;-) There is over 30k invested in this cruiser, and all receipts will be provided at time of purchase. EngineThe old 2F was completely rebuilt with forged high compression pistons by Ross Machine, RV cam, bearings, balanced and blueprinted by Martin Davidson in California. Factory components were installed, new water pump, alternator, fuel pump and new OEM power steering pump. Belts and hoses were brand new, gaskets and seals are all new. Carburetor and distributor were rebuilt and recurved by Jim C at TLC Performance. Transmission and drivetrainThis cruiser received a brand new H55F from Toyota, new seals and gaskets in the transfer case, and a new Aisin clutch. Drivelines were rebuilt and balanced, pinion seal was replaced in the front and rear, knuckles were rebuilt with new front and rear brakes. Tie rod ends were replaced and aligned. A new OME medium suspension kit was installed to give her a better ride, with springs, bushings, shocks, and steering stabilizer. Interior and amenitiesThe interior was taken out, and the entire tub was cleaned and lined with Hushmat (similar to Dynamat) throughout, including the exterior panels and interior structure of the doors. The carpet and seats were carefully cleaned and re-installed. I’ve never seen such a clean original interior, so we decided to leave it alone. The stereo is still original and works, we installed a new OEM antenna so the radio would pick up stations. A new set of Hella sealed beam conversion lights were installed along with H4 light bulbs, and a custom wiring harness to give the headlights the power they need. ExteriorThe entire exterior was repainted (bare metal respray) and color sanded with OEM paint colors. New trim pieces were installed, including emblems and mud flaps. There’s no rust on this body at all, and the frame is completely solid steel. This cruiser is ready for a new owner, and will serve them well for a long time.
