Vehicle Detail
Last time on Ebay. This Duraburb is going back to Florida for the summer if not sold this time. 2006 Duramax Suburban Duraburb Towpro This Suburban originally came from the factory with a 6.0 engine and a 4L80E transmission. At 63,000 miles it was converted to a Duramax by Duraburb conversions out of Florida. I purchased a damaged 07 Duramax 2500HD for the conversion and all the documentation is in order. The donor truck had 60,300 miles at the time of the conversion. I still have the VIN of the truck to use if for some reason the new owner needs it. Duraburb has a file on hand with the donor trucks bill of sale and all necessary receipts to prove ownership. I have put roughly 10,500 miles on this truck since the conversion and it is reliable in every way. I have recently had it serviced, detailed, and aligned. Prior to the new alignment all of the front end parts were inspected. Any parts that showed signs of wear were replaced. Both of the batteries were replaced with new Optima red tops. The new owner will only need to do an oil change in roughly 5,000 miles. Current Specs: 37" BFG All Terrain tires, with Pro Comp wheels. 35” spare. AGR Rock Ram hydraulic steering and new steering box to handle larger tires. Mag-hytec Transmission pan and rear diff cover. 4” Stainless exhaust Autometer gauges with pyro and boost on A-pillar mount. Duramaxtuner.com five position tuner. Kennesaw Mountain rear bumper with spare tire rack. The front and rear diffs were replaced with the 2500HD donor truck. The rear is the 11.5 and both have 3.73 gears. ARB front bumper with a Warn 12k winch. The winch is new and has only been used twice since the conversion. I also added Light Force lights not some cheap useless lights. I also have the ARB bottle opener mounted up front. All front end sheet metal was updated with 2500 HD parts. All parts were new GM parts at time of install. The Suburban also was updated with Bushwacker cut out flares and repainted after the conversion. The 37” tires have plenty of room to move. I added a custom fuel cell out back. The truck holds 60+ gallons of fuel. Even the distance til empty gauge works. When the truck is filled up it shows 745 miles DTE. Depending on the price of fuel it cost $230+ to fill up. The interior has been updated with a new stereo system and flip down DVD player. They don’t get used much. Last time I used the DVD it was having trouble ejecting the DVD’s. The interior is very clean and well maintained, but does show some signs of use. Mainly a couple of stains on the carpet from my kids. The windows are tinted to what was legal in my state at the time. The tint may not be legal in some states This Suburban needs nothing to be used daily, but does have a couple small issues that a new owner may want to address. The rear is lifted with a block and in my opinion needs to be upgraded, or replaced with a custom spring. When the truck is filled up with fuel the fuel gauge gets moody and I’m not sure why. It will read empty for a few miles then go back to operating like normal. This only does this when filling up. While the paint is less than a year old, I do use this truck. The Suburban has some scratches, chips, and other signs of use. I have no idea how much money I have in this truck, but I quit counting at $70k. I will say that I spared no expense when building it and it was a labor of love. The reserve price is low enough that someone could not buy a Suburban, donor truck, and pay for the conversion for less. I have spent the extra money on it recently so the new owner will enjoy this truck as much as I have. Eric from Duraburb said he would be more than happy to answer any questions about the build if needed. You can also read the build thread on ExpeditionPortal.com in the full size section. It has all the minor details of the build. Please feel free to contact me for any additional information. The trailer is available, but is not included in this ebay auction.
