Vehicle Detail

1978 Chevrolet Camaro Type LTRare Factory 5.7 liter/350ci engine & 4 Speed TransmissionShowing 76,961 miles (odometer NOT operational)Mostly original paint (Root Beer)Two adult owners from newClear Oregon TitleRuns and DrivesNo evidence of crash damage.....all panels are relatively straight & original with normal dings and scratches.Interior is original but seat covers need some restoration.Headliner material and driver side carpeting has been removed due to moisture damage. This car had been sitting outside and unregistered since 2006 after the previous owner passed away. During that time, leaves and organic debris clogged the front cowl water drains allowing water to leak into the heater box. The standing water in the heater box caused moisture to corrode the underside of the dashboard on the left and right sides(shown in photos). There is also some "rust through" at the left front rocker panel directly below the left front fender. All of the exterior lights are currently inoperative.....probably also related to blown fuses and/or fuse box water damage. The tachometer, engine temperature and fuel gauges are working.......the odometer, dash lights, blower fan, rear defroster fan and radio are not currently working. I purchased the car last summer planning to do a budget restoration to "driver status". I replaced the brake master cylinder and adjusted the carburetor to make the car drivable. I was told that the engine had been "rebuilt" at some point. I think there is an Edelbrock intake manifold installed and I know that the chrome valve covers and air cleaner housing were installed. The car runs "very strong" so I suspect that the "engine rebuild" may have included a mild performance camshaft....but I do not know this for sure. The dual exhaust pipes have been cut after the mufflers and "turned down" just before the differential. Unfortunately, I am now selling the car due to relocation. Although the car does require some restoration, it is a genuine factory 350/4-speed in relatively "unmolested" original condition. The last (2) photos show the car as it was in 2006 prior to its extended hibernation. The car will sell to the highest bidder @ NO RESERVE. I reserve the right to end the auction early at any time as the car is for sale locally. A $250 deposit is due within 24 hours after the auction ends with the balance due in 7 days. Good Luck to All!
