Vehicle Detail

The genuine article! 1976 Honda CB 750, SOHC, 5 speed. Front disc brake. 4 into four exhaust. One owner. 5000 original miles. Runs great! 100% original. Original paint. Original exhaust. This bike belonged to a farmer in Vermont's "North East Kingdom" . The riding season up there is very short, and, let's face it, farmers just don't have a lot of time to go riding. Thus he never racked up many miles. Nevertheless, this bike was his pride and joy and it shows. Always stored indoors. Never been down. No dents or scrapes. Always maintained. I have the mirrors! I just forgot to put them back on for the photo shoot. This is a beautiful bike. I've cleaned the bike up a bit and done the following: cleaned the carbs, brand new battery, fresh oil, new air filter, new oil filter, new fuel lines, fuel filter, flushed tank, cleaned fuel petcock. The tank is very straight, no dents, original paint with no fading (was stored in a low light environment). The tank interior looks brand new. Original tires with no weather checking. Inspectable as is. Side covers are near mint. The bike starts at the first touch of the button. Idles smoothly, runs great, revs nicely, shifts flawlessly through all of the gears. Drives very smoothly at highway speeds. Because the bike runs so well, I decided not to touch the points, plugs, timing, or valve clearance. Has easy-access tappet covers for valve clearance adjustments when the time comes. The seat is excellent with one small, repairable tear in a lower corner. There is some minor pitting in the chrome on and around the rear fender. All minor surface stuff. The chrome plate around the ignition has some minor bubbling in the chrome. The rear rim has some significant flaws in the chrome (see photos). I think the bike went through a mud puddle before going into long-term storage. The combination of dirt and condensation, perhaps, took it's toll on the cosmetics of the rear rim. Functionally perfect. Cosmetic issue only. Can be replaced with a clean rim for about $150 on ebay auctions. I almost went ahead and did that, but decided to leave it for the new owner to decide. The bike rides very nicely and has a smooth ride at all speeds. The seat is very nice. It does have one small tear in the front left, lower corner. repairable. (See photos). I Have the title from the original owner. It shows the purchase date in 1976. The title itself was issued in 1991. This is because the owner got married. He retitled the bike with his wife's name on it, along with his. The bike was owned and ridden by one man from 1976 until 2013. I purchased the bike from him in february of 2013. I have not registered it. Pictured, you can see the original owner's manual in mint condition. It still has the factory cellophane pouch. One photo is of the wires in the headlight bezzle to show how clean the connectors are. The only non-original item on the bike are the grips. It had Gran Tourismo style soft grips installed, which I have replaced with stock Honda grips. I inspected the rear brake pads, and they are beefy and square (see photos). The front disc, also, is quite beefy and seems to work beautifully. Fluid has been flushed and replaced with new. Given the age of the bike, I obviously cannot warranty it. But I don't think you will be dissapointed. If you are an absolute total perfectionist looking for a museum quality bike, this probably isn't quite it. But if you want a great looking, low mileage, all original example -in excellent running condition -here it is! See my feedback as a seller. I've sold all kinds of trucks and motorcyles over the years. Bid with confidence. Email any questions. Good luck bidding. - Jim Free local delivery. Regional delivery for $1/mile.
