1979 Ford LTD II Sports Appearance package and Sports interior Premium AM/FM stereo Center console with floor shift Bucket seats Air Conditioning 302ci V8 engine, C4 automatic transmission. Approximately 60,000 miles actual. I have described it this way because the odometer stopped working last year. It now shows just over 58,000. I took the car on a couple road trips and it is now about 60,000 actual miles. The title for the vehicle states milage "not required" due to the age of the car. Driving Condition: This car is in very good driving condition and could currently be driven daily or on longer trips. I have had this car for several years and enjoy driving it anywhere. The engine reliably starts and runs well. The suspension is tight and does not rattle, squeak, or clunk. The car brakes straight, has good pedal feel and drives true at expressway speed with a few fingers on the wheel. I have no problems stopping in heavy traffic or on expressway ramps. The car can easily stop in an emergency situation as well as most vehicles on the road. Last year I took the car on several weekend and day trips as well as commuted with it during nice weather. The exhaust system is somewhat loud depending on your tastes but has a good muscle sound while cruising around. The climate controls work well. Heat and vent work. The AC system has a stuck valve preventing the evaporator from cooling. The system has a full charge, does not leak and produces ice on the lines under the hood but the valve will need to be replaced to cool the passenger area. External Condition : This car cleans up very well. Everything is original and in good condition. The paint has some cracking and chips from age and use but still shines well and looks good. The stripe kit has faded and cracked as well. There is paint rash behind the rear wheels from debris and some small dings around the car in general. Very little rust and only surface type in some of the chipped areas. There are no holes or cancer in this car that I am aware of. The trim, lights, grill, and bumpers are in good shape and the chrome shines up nice. The tires are fair and the glass is good. Both doors open and close easily with a satisfying and smooth "click" sound. The trunk operates smooth and the hood does not require slamming. All body lines are a factory fit and line up well. Engine, Transmission, Exhaust: 302ci V8. This engine runs very well. I have no problems starting it in freezing temperatures during winter storage. I do this to heat up the car, fluids, cycle the transmission and pump the brakes. I do not drive the car in the winters. The engine will drip oil from a valve cover but does not require oil to be added more than once in 3000 miles. It runs smooth, does not tick or smoke. Almost everything is original ford including belts, hoses, radiator, intake, ignition parts, alternator regulator etc. The under hood area is very clean and very original. Looking under the hood is confidence inspiring as it is very clean, and parts are properly arainged / installed. The transmission shifts properly and does not have noticable leaks. The fluid looks clean and unburned. The exhaust system is a full duel with "H"and is newer from the catalytic converters back. The cats are original duel units from ford. There are no noticeable leaks by sound. It is mounted very solid and is a professional quality exhaust. Interior: The interior as a whole is in very good condition. The dash and instruments are in excellent condition and fully functional with exception of the analog clock and the aformentioned odometer. The trip meter resets and works properly. All trim, headliner and seats are in excellent shape with a small exception on the driver's seat. The driver's seat has two 1" tears in the back corner. They are not felt when sitting and easy to miss visualy. The carpet is torn on the drivers left foot area but is in good comdition throughout the rest of the car. The floor mats are in like new condition, have ford type logos and part numbers on them. I believe them to be original dealer options. Both door panels are in great condition. Shipping is the buyers resposibility but I personaly would not be afraid to drive this car across country and have done so over the last few years. Sold as is with no refunds.
