For the 1952 model year Lincoln had only 2 trim models and production was relatively low for all body types (2dr Hardtop-10,226, 4dr Sedan-15,854 & 2dr Convertible-1,191) the Capri was Lincoln's top of the line over the Cosmopolitan's trim levels. This unit was built at "LP" = Lincoln plant. Power under the hood as originally equipped with a 317 cubic inch 2bbl V8 rated at 160hp @ 3900 rpm and standard Hydra-Matic automatic transmission. Upgraded factory options include heater, radio, grill guard and whitewall tires.... Historical Footnotes: Lincoln's came in first, second, third and fourth at the 1952 Pan American Road race in Mexico. This is a good honest original that appears to have been cosmetically restored and mechanically tended too "as needed", well kept with actual restoration age unknown. The dash & related trim is beautiful with very light patina, the exterior trim is equally so with re-plated bumpers, the trunk carries original trim w/expected age, the interior upholstery, door panels, carpet and headliner have all been updated, the metallic paint shows very well, the body is straight & doors operate nicely and the undercarriage is of driver quality.
