Automatic We at Midnite Motor Classics in Margate, Florida are proud to present AN OPPORTUNITY TO OWN this super nice, rust-free 1965 Ford Mustang Convertible Without getting too caught up in superlatives (and we could), this is just a REAL NICE car. This is a 1965 Mustang convertible that's in fantastic condition and runs great. This is numbers matching car that is all original except for one repaint, new carpet and a new top. Without knowing the complete history, it seems obvious this must have been a western car. There is no rot on the car AT ALL. The sheet metal is all original with no rust. The paint shines like new all around. As we mentioned, this car has had one repaint at some point in its life. The color is called "Prairie Bronze". The chrome is very nice all around, and the original spinner hubcaps look great. The boot for the top is with the car. The tires have good tread all the way around. This car has some nice trim detail, such as the chrome rocker panel moldings. We think this was part of the optional "appearance package". The top is not original. It was replaced at some point, and its in great shape with no cuts, tears, or wear spots. The back window is clear. The interior is in very, very good condition. It is all original except for the carpet (which looks like a fairly recent change). There are no rips, holes or tears in the seats. The door panels and dash are also in very good shape. This Mustang has an automatic transmission, the much-desired full center console and factory A/C that works. The trunk is also clean and free of rust. One of the great things about this car is the drivability. Just get in, turn the key, and go. The motor starts right up and runs great. This Mustang Convertible has the 289 4bbl V8 - the "A" code motor. It was rated from the factory at 225 hp in 1965 - that's 25 more hp than the base 289. There's no rot under the car at all....even the usual suspects are good. The odometer reads 71,740 miles. Could they be original? It wouldn't surprise us one bit, but we have no way of knowing. We do not reveal reserve price amounts, so please don't ask. We prefer to see all auctions through to the end in order to get the best price for a vehicle. We are a dealer however, and all vehicles are for sale to the public. We therefore reserve the right to cancel all bids and end the auction early if the vehicle is sold. We reserve the right to cancel bids from those with excessive or net negative feed back. Payment and Fees We will add a $249 dealer prep charge to the final bid price. This is to cover the cost of vehicle cleaning, phone calls, Fed-Exing of packages and other document handling costs. If a vehicle is not picked up within 10 days of the auction close, we reserve the right to charge a reasonable storage fee. You may pay the purchase price in cash, with a cashiers or certified check or wire transfer. We do not accept credit cards for full purchase price. If you are the winner, a $500 non-refundable deposit within 48 hours of the end of the auction is sufficient to hold the car until the remainder can be sent or car is picked up (sorry, we do not accept credit cards or Paypal at this time) . If these forms of payment are not acceptable, please do not bid. Final payment is expected within five (5) days thereafter. If you are a Florida resident, you will be required to pay applicable sales tax and registration fees. If you are not a Florida resident, you will be required to register the vehicle in your home state at your own cost, including registration fees, inspection fees and sales taxes applicable to your state.
