Vehicle Detail
This Corvette belongs to my wife, and we just don't need it anymore. We have owned this car for more than 10 years. It has lived inside for more than 9 years. It spent this past winter outside. In 2011 I rebuilt the engine. Since the rebuild, we have driven it less than 300 Miles. It was bored .30 over, It now has 1.94 Camelback, Heads.(Fully Rebuilt) The original heads were the small 1.78's. (I still have them if you want to restore this car.) Upgraded the Cam, Edlebrock Manifold, New exhaust from the Headers to the Tail pipes, Remanufactured Q-Jet. And of course all new Rings, Bearings, Gaskets, Oil pump, Distributor, Lifters, Springs, etc....... The first time my wife drove it after the rebuild, she thought the Tranny was slipping under "Moderate Acceloration", when in reality she was smokin" the tires. It is very streetable but it has a lot of power. ( Probably not a good toy for a kid) Tires are good, Brakes are good, Tranny is good, Windows, and Upholstery are good.(one small Seam Tear and a 1/4" hole) It needs paint just because it's 34 years old!!! After the rebuild, I did not reinstall the A/C, but I have it all to go back on. Also over the last several years, I have replaced all the Brake Calipers, most Brake Lines, Belts and Hoses (of course) Remanufactures Rack and Pinion, U-Joints, Misc. Suspension parts as needed. I think thats all about the History on this Corvette. Oh, I found the original Sales Contract and it shows the actual mileage was 26100 miles the day we bought it. The Title says Exempt for the Mileage. When we first registered it the car was being worked on so the BMV could not verify the mileage. They had to list it as Exempt. I started it up today (4/6/13) I had to put a new battery in it, one squirt of starting fluid, and it fired right away. Drove around town, smoked the tires a little and brought it home. I noticed the stock guages didn't all work. Don't know why and not tearing into it anymore. Radio and electric antenna worked fine. Motor is still real tight. It needs to be driven. Please e-mail any questions. I will answer them as quickly as possible. Reserve price barely covers the engine rebuild. I hate to see this car go to waste. On Apr-06-13 at 18:44:34 PDT, seller added the following information: Just noticed the date on the photos. It's the wrong date. These pictures were taken 2-3 days ago. I never thought to check the date on the camera. Sorry if this causes concern. Thank you, Joe
