Vehicle Detail
Time to let my project change hands and you could be the one that takes it over... This is my daily driver, weekend kid hauler, and full time project that I just haven't been able to complete. It is ready for someone else to restore to its former glory while at the same time used as a daily driver (has been mine for the last 2 years). This is not a show car by any means but has been very dependable and could be great with just a little more TLC. While not pictured, I do have the center hub covers, the rear spoiler, and a few other small parts I picked up over the years. The Good: · No body rust · Only 120K miles · A/C works and blows cold · Engine runs great and has never let me down · Transmission shifts smooth · New shocks · New passenger area molded floor covering and floor mats · New radiator · New water pump · All new belts · All gauges work · New HEI ignition, plug wires and plugs · New transmission pan and gasket · Tires with only 10K miles · Front windows and tailgate window power up and down (if you know Wagoneers, this is a big plus) · New front window wipes installed (I have the rear wipes but they are not installed). · Power seats work great · CD player upgrade · Installed electric fan (still have the original fan) The 'still needs to be completed': · I painted the car with Valspar tractor paint, to inhibit rust, until I was ready to put a true color on. Paint will last for a while but my plan was to eventually repaint. · The wag leaks fluids, very common and though I have replaced quite a few seals it still drips a little oil, transmission fluid, and coolant. As long as I keep an eye on everything I have not had any issues · The coolant gets dirty over a few months so I have been flushing about 3-4 times a year. · The front windshield has a long crack (tried to show in the pics)...still always passes inspection · There is a small dent on the tailgate (see pic), the right rear QP (see pic), and the roof has a bow near the rear. · The waggy didn’t have a fan shroud so I removed the fan and placed two electric puller fans and ran a switch to the cab to control…I still have the original fan. · I rolled the entire cab with herculiner, to again prevent rust, while I like it I understand it is not original · Back passenger windows do not roll up or down. I can hear the motors working and I have purchased new flex track but just no time to to fix it · The side boards in the cargo area were not with the jeep when I purchased, so I created some using plywood. · The seats have rips except for the rear; the driver’s seat is the worst. · I replaced the headliner, but used the old boards which sag...most people don't notice, but I do. Visors were recovered too · When I replaced the water pump I noticed a couple bolts were broken off in the block. This is where the slight coolant leak is. · Steering column is loose and has been the 2 years I have had her...this seems to be a very common problem · Fuel gauge works but hits 1/4 of a tank when there is really about 1/2 tank · Power door locks partly work, they lock but dont unlock · The wipers currently do not work...no idea what the issue is but rainex has been my friend · A very common issue with a clogged side vent allows a little water on the driver’s side floor….one reason I ripped out the carpet and laid down the vinyl I have tried to recall even the smallest issue with the Wagoneer but might have missed a few things. Remember, most all Waggy’s have these same issues so if another listing doesn’t mention the few things I have, you might want to ask the seller. This vehicle is being sold as is and I am not responsible for any issue not listed in the description. That said, I will work with you to help fix any issue that may arise. Happy Bidding!
