Vehicle Detail

1986 Jeep J-10 Pickup Truck 4X4 A very clean rust free example. I bought this as a project for my son and I and we have had a great time working on it this past winter, however my wife wants her parking place in the garage back and since I don't want this truck to park outside, I am willing (kind of) to let someone else finish my project. I say project as there are several things I would like to do on it, but with 3 young kids and summer around the corner, I need to prioritize. The things that need done are very minor and mostly aesthetic. The truck runs and drives well and is currently licensed (passed Utah Safety and Emission easily). It has been properly lifted and has 35" Goodyear Wrangler tires with lots of tread, 90% or better. It has a Dana front end and an AMC 20 rear end. Tilt, A/C, new seat. new carpet, new mats, new bluetooth stereo system with handsfree phone. What it needs: It need a drivers side door lock core, cheap and easy. My plan was, and maybe still will be based on this auction outcome, to add power locks and a Viper remote start, alarm and entry to the vehicle. In which case I would not need a door key. It needs a headliner and sun visors, which I have been keeping an eye out for on Ebay. Seat belts, also been looking for clean, straight examples on Ebay, new ones (very nice) are available for around $200. And maybe a paint job, if the new owner so prefers. Maaco (I know) quoted me $1,400 with a rhino liner type application in the bed and on the rear bumper. I mention this simply because they told me they could go that low because my body require little to no prepping. Seriously, I think this Jeep has less rust than my 07 GMC pickup does. It is very clean. It spent the majority of it's years in California. All it needs a paint job to be a truly great showing vehicle. The pan/undercarriage is so straight and clean, it is breaking my heart to sell this one. It will only go up in value as she ages. I haven't sold a car on Ebay before, so I want to keep it simple. I am not willing to drive it to you and highly recommend shipping it to your location, which will be at your expense. The large tires are cool and look great, and they probably do well off-road (I wouldn't know), but she's not designed for the freeway. This Jeep draws a crowd and interest every time I take it out for a drive, whether I'm at a basketball game or in a grocery store parking lot. Please feel free to send me any questions you may have and thanks for looking.
