Vehicle Detail

This 1957 Ford Custom 300 underwent a complete professional restoration about 6 years ago, and has been garage kept ever since as well as being a non-smokers vehicle. Thru those years it won several first place trophies in local car shows mostly in California, where it came from. When I bought it, the engine didn't run, so I bought a new 302 Crate engine for it. I special ordered the extra energy cam that gives it that great hotrod sound, but still doesn't require a stall converter. Now it runs as good as it looks, and can be driven every day reliably. Someone had also heated the front coil springs to get a lower stance, but it liked to scrape going over driveways, so I put a new set of 2" lower than stock coils, plus new Monroe gas shocks. Now it still has a nice stance, but it rides much better and has way better clearance. The car runs and drives very well with no known issues. Here are some highlights: · Professionally built and balanced 302 W/ Holley 4bbl and headers · About 500 miles on engine; Break-in oil just changed · New parts include: · Sealed Power hypereutectic pistons and rings Competition Cams performance camshaft Fel-Pro gaskets Clevite 77 rod, main and cam bearings Melling high-volume oil pump, pickup screen and driveshaft Valve guides Pioneer harmonic balancer, flexplate, performance valve springs, brass freeze plugs and bolts Melling push rods Double-roller timing set Professional Products polished dual-plane intake manifold (non-EGR) Pioneer aluminum front cover Chrome valve covers, oil pan, dipstick/tube, thermostat housing and breather Ford valve locks/retainers · Ford AOD 4 speed automatic transmission with new 9" 4.11 rear end gears · Kenwood AM/FM CD Player with front and rear speakers · Cragar wheels with decent tires and new Gorilla locks · Aftermarket oil, water and amp gauges; water gauge is not working · All glass in nice condition; windows all roll up and down fine. Windshield is new. · Carpet, headliner, upholstery all very nice, with some wear showing on the drivers seat. · Lights all work well, needs a horn and heater core. · Wipers are vacuum; could use an upgrade to electric. 1957 Chevy electric motors are an easy, direct bolt on solution · All aluminized dual exhaust that exits at the rear of the car The quality of the body and paint are very good on this car. The undercarriage looks to be rust free. The flames are some of the best I have ever seen. There are a couple of pea size bubbles in the rear quarters, and a few imperfections here and there, but nothing that distracts from the overall beauty of this car. It needs outside rearview mirrors also. There is a mustang one on the drivers side right now, but the correct ones for the 1957 ford would look best. The car can be locked up tight, but the outside drivers door lock needs to be hooked back up inside the door. Overall just a great example of this hard to find classic. I drive it most every day, and feel like a celebrity every where I go, with everybody waving and giving me thumbs up on the car. I believe I have covered everything on the car, and will answer all questions sent in a timely and honest manner, but as with any used car it is sold "as-is". I will need a 500 dollar deposit by way of Paypal immediately following the auction, with the balance due by way of cash, cashiers check or bank transfer. All checks will need 2 weeks to clear. The car will come with a clear, numbers matching Oregon State Title in my name. I will also provide a bill of sale with it.
