1941 Chevrolet Two Door Special Deluxe Coupe Up for auction is a 1941 Chevrolet Two Door Special Deluxe Coupe. I have been the owner since April of 2011 and it is currently registered and insured with a clear Nevada title. It runs great, with the Inline six stovebolt and three on the tree transmission, and has been used as a weekend driver while I work on it in my spare time. Mileage reads 68 and change, but true mileage is unknown. My plan was to make it a mild custom, but as you can see from the photos below it is still at a point where it could be totally restored to original condition. Recently I replaced the battery, put on new Cooker Classic (6.00 x 16) tires, and replaced the taillights. I hopped up the engine (Inline six stovebolt) a bit with a new Fenton dual intake, refurbished Rochester single barrel carburetors with new dry filters and chrome filter covers, new Fenton split header for a dual exhaust, new coil and cables, and a chrome valve cover. It is only piped about a quarter of the way back so that will need to be finished with mufflers of your choice, or none, and piped to the rear. I drive it this way all of the time, it is just loud. I also put in three inch aluminum lowering blocks in the back and cut about a coil and half off the front. I purchased it with a fairly new aluminum gas tank in good order. All the glass is there and they are fully functional, they roll up and down open and shut. The door locks work and operate with a key, as does the ignition. The interior is original and all there less the carpet and cigarette lighter. The radio is there but does not work. The electrical system is still six volt and it is pretty hokey. It has been patched together over the years and will need to be re-wired. The headlights and taillights work and the marker lights have been removed. I purchased new marker light bezels, glass, hardware, and gaskets but it will need new marker light buckets. I also purchased new headlight rings, rubber gravel guards, and an interior overhead light cover. The body sheet metal is good and there has been no patch work or bondo done anywhere. It does have a couple of rust spots in the rear undercarriage about the size of a soft ball on either side (not through to the interior or outside) and two small spots on the lower exterior near the bottom front wheel fenders on either side, and the trunk lower water channel (See photos below). The floor pans and everything else is good. The trunk comes with the package shelf, original spare and jack. The stainless trim still on the car is good, except for the windshield divider, it has a good size ding. I removed the lower stainless, gravel guards, the stainless trim around the side windows and belt line with the intention of welding in all of the holes for a cleaner mild custom look. Most of the stainless taken off is gone except for the pieces in the photos below. The front bumper was removed (included with purchase) and the bumper arms will need to be replaced if you plan on putting it back. I planned to leave it off and weld in the holes, again for that mild custom look. Also, the grille on the car is dented so another was purchased to replace it (included with purchase). It will need to be re-chromed as does the grille trim, rear bumper, trunk hinges, and door handles currently on the car. All of the parts in the photos bellow are included with the purchase.
