Vehicle Detail
The body is in excellent condition. The exterior was resprayed in the original Sea Blue and Cumulus White many years back and is still very presentable. It's not a show quality job but certainly very respectable for a driver. The body is incredibly dry, straight, and unmolested. The only rust we have found is a spot below the battery. Both correct pointed end Deluxe bumpers are present and have the correct polished aluminum Deluxe trim that is frequently missing. The floors are excellent with original paint all over them and just some superficial surface rust in a few small spots where the paint has worn through. The phenomenal condition of the floors tells you so much about how dry and clean this Bus has been over the last half century. This Bus was clearly stored indoors in a very dry climate. It features the very desirable factory Walk Thru seating as well as the factory 6 popout window option. By opening up the large sunroof and opening all of those popouts you'll be letting in plenty of sunshine and getting loads of airflow. The interior is in excellent shape with all of the proper seats for 1967. The seats have brand new Salt and Pepper covers and brand new door panels with chrome trim and new black rubber floor mats were just installed as well. The correct pinhole headliner is in great shape as well as you can see from the pics. The dash is still displaying its original paint and has an original Blaupunkt Emden radio in it. The correct 12 volt Deluxe clock is there and ticking away as well. Both the middle and rear seat kick panels are also present and original. The original rear shelf carpet is also still intact and in great shape considering its 47 years. Mechanically the Bus is stock with the correct and possibly original 1500cc single port engine, factory 46mm big nut reduction box transaxle (factory freeway flier), and the factory 12 volt electrical system. The engine was just rebuilt and runs excellent. The tires are brand new 7.00 BF Goodrich Silvertown white stripe bias plies on stock 14" Bus wheels with correct original Lemmerz beauty rings and correct painted logo chrome hubcaps. It starts right up, runs beautifully, and drives very nicely. It is fully turnkey and ready to enjoy.
