I have owned this Ford for 50 years. It has the original nice running Flathead. Uses no Oil. Transmission is the stock 3 speed with 50 Ford Pickup gears to allow for the open driveshaft. It meets up with a 1957 Ford differential with parallel leaf springs. It drive down the road and on trips, it does good on fuel, somewhere around 20mpg. All the original sheetmetal. stock gages function properly, heater works, crank-out windshield with Original Seat that has never needed repairs, It sits very comfortable. The motor was taken down in 1964 and the sleeves were removed and 1953 pistons and rings installed. It was balanced by Larson Balancing, and had adjustable lifters installed. It does not have any valve issues. The Radiator was recored and does just fine except it doesn't like slow parades during 100 degree weather. It has disc brakes up front, dropped I-Beam axle, all ford bolt pattern wheels. I do have most of the original drivetrain parts that were removed, differential. brakes, etc. The paint is from 1985. It still looks great but it is not perfect by todays standards of Clear Coats but I would say it looks more natural with the finish it has and it still presents itself well. It has the original grill in excellent condition with all the correct stainless trim pieces, The floor is original and never rusted. In fact, the car hasn't been in the rain more than 3 times in the 50 years I have owned it. The undercarriage is gloss black enamel and is does not have undercoating sprayed to cover anything. It the undercarriage pictures, there are some seat belt bolts and such that have undercoating but that is just to seal the bolt and hole area. The interior was done by Charlie Blake. He used all the original patterns. Even the headliner. No wrinkles or issues with the interior. It has never been smoked it, it is kept in a dry heated garage so It gets treated like an old Ford should. Questions? yes, I have a clear title in my name.
