Up for auction is a great 1987 Porsche 944 base model used for DE/track, although it is licensed and inspected for street use (primarily set up for DE). Purchased from NNJR DE instructor and used for DE events this past summer. Car has a lot of potential, engine runs great and is very reliable. Many suspension modifications make it excellent in the corners. It's located in Northern New Jersey. One downside is a crack has formed in windshield from stone chip from Lightening track this past summer, the fix should not be a significant expense. Interior in very good condition. Comes with stock seats and original three-point belts -- six point mounts for six point harnesses have been instralled. No dents, never in an incident, paint is good for track car, some marred spots where couple of old decals removed clear coat. Deal includes 2 full sets of phone dial wheels (15') and six slot wheels (16'). Modifications made over the summer include (have all receipts, invested more than $8k into car): - Six point harness mounting hardware on both passenger and driver sides - Magnaflow stainless exhaust from headers back (awesome sound) - Autopower roll bar, modified to accept HANs harness set up for both sides - 8 15' phone dial wheels - 4 mounted with Toyo R888 Proxes used for three DE events (lots of life left on them), 3 mounted with brand new R888s and one with a hoosier slick; 6 16' slot wheels with hoosier slicks in various conditions (14 wheels overall) - New battery - Front drop link uprated kit - New water pump - New power steering pump - Shaft idler roller - New cam and balance shaft belts and rollers Modifications made by previous owner include: - Weltmeister sway bars, front and rear - koni shocks all fours - 250# springs on front - Torsion bar rear - chip - headers - solid motor mounts - camber truss - charlie arms As it is a track car I am selling it as is, but it has been extremely reliable for me and have enjoyed learning the sport in it.
