BMW made the best of both worlds - a sport bike that you can ride for days. This bike is always garaged, and extremely well cared for. Looks and feels brand new. The BMW designed, Rotax-built parallel twin-cylinder engine is liquid-cooled, has four valves per cylinder and was designed for solid midrange punch. This bike is a dream combination of power and comfort - the sport and the touring. Open it up and this thing can really rip. I've never taken it to the track, but I know lots of people who do. The engine is mated to an incredibly slick transmission that never skips a beat and always finds neutral when asked to. Power is then transferred via an equally smooth and nearly maintenance free belt drive to the rear wheel. Bringing everything to a stop is a pair of 320mm rotors in front paired with four-piston Brembo calipers. This is the safest, most comfortable bike I've ever ridden. It's got the power and punch to put a grin on your face, but the manners to keep you smiling even after many hours in the saddle. This bike came with all the bells and whistles that cost big $ when it was new - life saving antilock brakes (ABS - $900), heated grips ($235), center stand ($120), and trip computer ($250). I'll also throw in a BMW tank bag and battery charger. This was $13,000 of motorcycle when it was new. And this bike is practically new, having seen just over 6,000 miles.
