1974 Volkswagen Karmann Convertible Super Beetle. You are bidding on a 1974 Volkswagen Convertible Super Beetle with only 76,019 original miles. This car has the original paint Color but has been repainted the top and the seats have been replaced. The engine appears to be original but I believe the carb has been changed out. This is a third owner car. The original ower had the car in storage until they past away. The second owner bought it for his wife but she did not want it because it does not have air conditioning. The third owner loves it but it is just sitting and she feels it really needs to go to some one that can appreciate it. The Body is solid and straight some minor dings but over all in great shape for her age. The only rust through I found was under the battery rack (see pics). There is some surface rust around the bottom of hood and under the outer lower edges of the vehicle and in some of the recesses (see Pics).The Under carriage has normal corrosion for that area but looks real good for the age. You will see the floor pan under the battery has some rust through but no danger of it falling through.The top has been replaced and is in great shape. The seats have been recovered and look great. The dash does not have any cracks in it. the radio has been replaced with a modern AM/FM/CD. The car drives out fine and the clutch feels solid as well. There is a little vibration in the front end, but I have been told that is normal(I am not a Bug guy so I do not know). I can not tell if it is from the main seal or push rod seals. The oil seems mainly to be on the bottom left side of the engine but there is some oil on right side bottom as well.
